AFL Player Dies in Las Vegas

As posted on another page: Any reliable sources on Twitter? I can't access it. He is my wife's cousin if it is true.

Just been confirmed on an AFL twitter account. This is just horrible. Feel for everyone connected to this. Could easily have been a Tiger. RIP.

A reminder that these guys are just people like anyone else. Feel for his family, partner and friends. Just awful.

Agree.

Was this a Port footy trip? If he had a few teammates with him, it could really damage the mental state of his teammates as well.

Like the Troy Broadbridge incident. A lot of his teammates would have carried that for the rest of their lives.

Don't forget the Bali Bombing with Jason McCartney and others nearly dying. Some Bulldogs players were close too.

It would make it even worse if this incident happened due to being drunk or drugged. Sickening feeling for family, friends and Port fans.

oh dear not good for his family and friends
to receive this news from so far away.

wonder if skylarking was a factor... :'(

Yes, a footy trip, they apparently just left on Saturday so it would have been their first or second night there.

Big task ahead of the incoming coach to help them deal with this.
