Cornes would have insisted that Rozee be in

Hopefully the richmond players either don't care or use this as motivation

I'm sure they don't care.

FFS the rest of us couldn't give a shjt either, I didn't know this was happening until I saw this thread. AA blazers seem to be compensation for players without premiership medals.

5 Geelong players
2 in the foward line that kicked less goals than a bloke that missed 7 games.
No Footscary
No WC
NO Adelaide
No Essendon
No Hawthorn
No Nth Melbourne

Can't remember a year when so many clubs don't have 1 player named
Biased or what. Not even Bont gets in. Bummers, lolnorf and WC deserved none, but Dorks and Crows could've had 1 each.

I think you’re probably right. They would be much more focused on team success. Really hope we go deep enough to play Geelong again. I want that bad.

That said I do believe the lack of recognition afforded to the achievements of Richmond players from this magnificent era is quite disrespectful. How anyone could possibly compare the seasons of Lynch and Hawkins and decide Hawkins was better is truly bizarre and shows a conscious bias in the AFL and the media to Geelong.

Not too mention the lack of recognition of Trent Cotchin’s achievements as a 3 time premiership captain that dragged his club out of the mire. Yet they laud Selwood as a great leader yet he has not one a single flag as captain. And walked into the best team in the league at the start of his career and didn’t have to worry about the heavy lifting.

What the duck is wrong with people?

This is the sort of stuff Champion Data thrive on.
The reality is that the Premiership cup is the only award a team player is actually chasing. Dusty could not have given 2 *smile* about this recognition. Nor any other tiger players and definitely not this supporter.
Turn up in September not in April against the cellar dwellers.

It's not a bad reward for some (contract bonus etc) when just your name gets you in the team.

I fully agree with the sentiments justifiably expressed here.

Just surprised everyone ... seems so surprised! It's the AFL run by Gil and his lackeys.

[Looks like AA team was emailed in by Shocking and Salty - have they been given the flag tonight too, saving the other 7 teams from bothering with finals disappointment?]

AA is a false reward for individuals. Geelong players treat it as their Grand Final win.

Premierships are what matters.

I'm not so bothered about the individual choices given the inherent biases, subjectiveness etc., as much as I am that the way it's set up makes it nearly impossible for a specialist wing to get into the team, given they just do a big lump of "mids." Wing is arguably more important now as a position/role than its ever been and requires specific skill/traits, and the best wingers should be recognized for that.

EF me. Sinclair is ok but pads his stats by taking the kickins and doing heaps of 1-2s. There isnt a coach in the league that picks Saad over Rioli, not even Voss.

Fuming over the disrespect to Lynch.
Agree. Rioli cr@ps ovet those two. Saad just takes little steps to make it look like he runs fast and Sinclair is a padder amd spends much more time around the ball.

In the end who really cares, they're just opinions. 22 players picked, wishful thinking that we'd get 2 or 3 in the side considering where we've finished . We know how the formula works.

I had to google to see who Sinclair was. How many goals has he set up?
Sinclair has had a great year, super player. He deserved a spot. It’s Saad that is the DBJ choice this year.

Yeh can’t believe he didn’t get selected in front of Rozee.
