AFL Awards

What outrages me with Hawkins "legacy piece" is we all know that it comes from AFL House. Why are McLachlan, Dillon & Brad Scott on the selection committee? They wouldn't watch a quarter of the football that you and I, and most footy fans watch every weekend.
And whatever they do watch is through blue and white glasses. But all the Geesook AA selections are, of course, to marry up with the team that finished clear on top of the ladder and will go Premiers ... it's virtually in the bag.

Could be just a couple of problems with that. :D

I am surprised some players like Stewart still get selected for AA when they have been suspended for violent conduct earlier on in the season

It's the AFL. You can say anything in sledging too. But if you do get suspended, you just keep appealing to the next tribunal, then the next ... until they just forget about it.

Parrot has written that he would have gone with Lynch before Pushkins! And the AFL doubled down by giving the Captains spot to him.

The AFL media agendas for certain clubs and players is quite extraordinary. I'm certain they do it just to *smile* off Tiger supporters.

Gee, Parrot said that, maybe the AA selectors were right.

Lucky for Parrot that no-one knows who pays his salary. Of course the AFL's A. A. selectors got it right.

Only three types of medal carry any cred for mine. Premiership, Norm n Club BnF. The rest are just fluff n opinions to generate meedjia.

I’d add the coaches votes and the player driven votes highly too.
