Yze appears to be quite different to Hardwick in the personality stakes.
I get the impression Yze builds his style around supreme consistency week in week out, with little room for emotion or hyperbole.
When ooze talked about Grimes in the presser, he didn’t just say he’d “work on discipline” with him, he said he’d ensure it “never happens again”.
Yze is still feeling these guys out and building the culture he needs and wants. That takes time. It will take the crucible of a high stakes AFL season to establish his boundaries.
Yze seems way different in terms of “playing on the edge”. More classical, more pure footy-oriented.
He’ll get a chance to build this list over the next 3-4 years and I am certain they’ll be different types to those who Hardwick took to the promised land.
