Adem Yze

It takes some balls to do that. Considering there are still a fair few players from that era.
One thing that would pump up the kids is that they now know they are on equal footing with the premiership players with the new coach. No past bias.

Good taste on how to play these pricks when it matters. He's learnt a lot tonight.

Didn’t look overly thrilled in the box, which I was happy about. First sign of grumpiness

First game as senior coach and he is on page 3 and trailing posts about Dimma by a mile.

Just watched his presser. Geez he is a super polished presenter and communicator. Not sure he has the cattle this year but let's see. Don't think anyone will be struggling to understand where they stand and what they need to do.

I'm a big pronoun watcher. Yze has his 'we' down perfectly. Hardwick still used 'they' a lot when describing the players. "We" will see.

¼ time huddle looked looser, ¾ time huddle looked tighter. Players engaged and listening. It's gonna take time for all to gel.

I was really impressed with his post match presser.

Clear, articulate, constructively positive.
Agree, I've been incredibly impressed with Yze. I really feel as though we have got the right coach. The list needs to improve, but if Yze is the right guy we should be OK - its just going to take time. I reckon its similar to the start of the Hardwick era, however we are going to need some A graders that are not currently on the list - to have a similar upward trajectory.

His selection of Ryan was unforgivable.
Made no sense

Yze will be fine. It’s the players who failed to turn up & compete in the first half. No coach can do much on game day if the effort isn’t there.

However there should be change from hereon. Ryan was dabbled with at selection and we got what we all suspected. Exceedingly poor performances from Dow, Banks & Koschitzke should see demotion too. It’s the coaching reaction going into next week that I’ll be interested in.

If/when Lynch is fit to play, I think we go similar to our 2017 gameplan of 1 x KPP fwd surrounded by smalls.

Balta is more useful in defence/back up ruck IMO and Kosi plays VFL.

I wasn’t impressed with team selection
Centre bounce set up and stoppages around the ground were pathetic
Talk all you want
But if you cannot implement
He might have a short career
Witt’s is on his last legs , fact
It took YZE half a game to realise what was happening in the middle
Balta was huge in the 3rd Q when on ball
Why ?
He caused a contest
Most at the ground could see what was happening to Ryan and Naismith
Even sitting in the direct sun
Amazing coaching first half
