Adem Yze

I can see a 10 year Dynasty with Yze.
We are a financially strong Club with a winning culture.
The thing I know from people from the Balkans and former Soviet block countries. Family is everything and they will use whatever tools are at their disposal to win a battle. They bleed for the Brotherhood and expect everyone else to do the same.

That’s the third time that’s been mentioned now.

Reckon it’s played a huge part in Yze getting the role if this is what Yze highlighted in his pressos.
And definitely a huge part as to why Mini didnt get the role. Guilty by association.

Going by what Yze is saying, I'm starting to wonder how the F was he rejected by other clubs. Can't see or hear one fault in him. This bloke's a senior coach overdue.
Who did he come 2nd too ?

One was GWS i think and Kingsley is very impressive as well. Was it Yze who was 2nd to Brad Scott or Kingsley?

I also think there is a reason Yze is so bullish on the prospect of Mini staying.

Mini is a player’s man and can handle the finer points of communication that might be missing in Yze’s makeup.

These two incredibly sharp young coaches could, if Mini stays, form an effective tandem.
Agree Carts. If he isnt stuck on ego, he can adapt his already strong supporting skills to a new gameplan and tandem drive the needed change.
Leadership is not always top down. Does he want it, and is he humble enough?

Already has some assistants he wants to bring in and is open for Mini to stay on.
I had to smirk when Yze started to talk about possible assistants he'd like to talk to and Benny turned his head and gave Yze a look that said this isn't the time or place. Yze changed tack and spoke of how he is looking forward to working with our current assistants.

Changes to our assistants are coming but will be announced when and how Benny wants it done.

Benny is the Tzar and Yze knows when to fall into line. A good start to their working relationship.

I don't see that at all re: Mini.
I think Mini has got 10yrs of IP from within Tigerland. Why would he want to miss out on being able to tap into that IP? The faster he gets access to that info the more likely he'll be to succeed.

All the commentary around Yze is that he's a "people person". I don't think he needs someone to assist with communication. It won't hurt, but it doesn't sound like he needs it.

I agree with the rest though. If they're both tactically sharp, they could challenge and feed off each other. Nothing wrong with being pushed by your subordinates to get better yourself.

Just watched the press conference
Very reassuring to see him in action - cool, calm and collected
It’s a good vibe already
Up and at ‘em Adem

When he said "I was the gameday driver" (or something along those lines) at the Dees with Goodwin was interesting. Also gale saying:

"But clearly..... there was an appetite for some change....... We have drifted in some respects in terms of how we play, we can play a whole lot better"

B Scott Sin.
Not sure I asked the question correctly but I think you are saying Yze finished 2nd to Brad Scott at essendon.
If that is the case then he was 2nd to Kingsley and to Brad Scott and Essendon were in reality always looking for an experienced head coach.
He has been in the mix for others I suspect.
These fields are pretty competitive and in some ways it depends on whether a coach suits a club as well.
I wouldn’t read too much into it tbh

We did pretty well with the previous coach we picked up that had rolled up 2nd at Essendon.

Pretty unprofessional if he's going to Thailand to join the footy trip IMO.
