Adem Yze

Congratulations Adem!!

I feel this is certainly the right choice. Mini was a great guy but we need another voice and someone that can re-energize the group.

Anyone else think Cumberland plays similar to how Yze did ? Obviously Adem had a great long career , but maybe he sees a bit of himself in Noah & could be really good for his game

Know nothing about him or what sort of appointment this is.
Feel a bit for Mini but he'll stay in the game.
Makes sense the club needed a 'fresh' approach.
So good luck Adem, looking forward to see what you've got!

Yze was a sublimely skilled outside player. Cumbo isn't really anything like Yze as a player IMO (no offence), at this stage he's a permanent forward who is double minded with ball in hand and execution by foot not up to standard.

Happy B'Day Coach!

I don't trust a bloke whose dog wears false teeth! A really bad set too.

He had me when he identified that the players were not working hard enough. Discipline, skills and structure have been severely lacking. I think he’s the man to bring some back.
Spot on standards dropped bigtime skills and kicking were atrocious at times Preseason was utterly garbage.

Looking forward to hearing him speak. Assume there will be a presser tomorrow?

I'm hoping he's asked:

What he thinks of the playing list and where he sees improvement
What game style he will look to implement
Whether any new assistants will come
Plans for leadership and captaincy in particular
What is his preferred way to cook a sausage

I think Yze will kill off the slack attitude of the last 3 years. Taranto will be doing kicking drills all summer lol
There’s been a few references to the fact that Yze’s presentation apparently revolved around a slackening off by players (I’m sure he placed it a bit differently than that) and that the panel had considered the same.

That drop in standards was raised a few times by people on PRE this year. It was highly noticeable.

I thought a few blokes in particular needed a kick up the arse.

Funny how you think back to what you thought of and/or how you saw that player back then, now that he's become your team's coach.

I didn't like Dimma much in the Bummers defence but didn't mind Ooze who was a talented player in a sh!t club.
