2024 Training With The Ooze Crew

Gone are the days of pre season training camp in QLD. I reckon the heat and humidity up here helped with the physical performance side come the season (and sort of aligned with the delivery of a few premierships).

Why change a winning formula?
Looks like we're down on $$$ to spend. Hopefully we can save and go to Kokoda next year.

Hopper looking fit. Really big year ahead for him hopefully!IMG_4297.jpeg

Yep Craigo, all that running *smile* up a good game.
Thats why I stopped playing at CHB and preferred going back to FB ...less running and got my hands on the pill for the kick outs.

I was much better suited to FB anyway I never had the endurance to really get around the ground for long stretxhes I was a sprinter not a distance runner.

Fred Cook at the other end? :mhihi

I got lazy turning up to midweek soccer training in my early 20s and used the excuse I work in the city.

Maybe the "soft cap" has a bit of an influence on where we can do our camp.
Definitely. The soft cap has had a huge impact on what clubs spend money on and training camps were a big casualty.

Gone are the days of wealthy clubs sending their entire football department and then some to Arizona for two weeks of “intensive training”. Gotta love equalization.

They did their preseason camp in Cairns in 2016. Didn't seem to help much
