Oh Cmon I’m convinced it was all decided back in 2016 Mini Dimma would be Dimma successorSo no one has a clue? Like it

I don’t know how anyone else feels but I’m finding it hard to get excited about most of these applicantsSkipworth not in the mix. He just said it on SEN.
Unfortunately with Xavier also being shortlisted now it feels a like nepotism is creeping in.... I hope not but feels that way.I don’t know how anyone else feels but I’m finding it hard to get excited about most of these applicants
Although I remember being pleased when Wallace was first appointed and look how that turned out!! So I guess I shouldn’t be fooled by luring a “big name” in the industry but I’m a bit surprised that there hasn’t been more coaches in waiting busting themselves to coach one of the biggest clubs in the land
Could be . I was told this on Tuesday I thinkWasnt it reported yesterday that Skipworth had skipped out of the process?
At this stage the applicants seem to be shortlisting themselves.Could be . I was told this on Tuesday I think
Usually when people pull out at this stage it is because they don’t want the process when they don’t think they have much of a chance
Cunning Plan it was too worked real well for Chris.Ive always thought Brad Scott threw the game against us mid 2017. We had lost 4 of our last 5, a couple more losses and the pressure would have been on Hardwick in a big way. Scott knew as long as Hardwick was coaching us we would never win the important games. (His brother would have encouraged him too i reckon.)
Why would you think the appointment of Newman or Grigg wouldn’t be changing things much ? Neither has ever coached at Richmond.Unfortunately with Xavier also being shortlisted now it feels a like nepotism is creeping in.... I hope not but feels that way.
McQualter, Xavier, Newman, Grigg names are all being linked to add with the narrative that we don't want to change much and feel like everything is fine.
Concerning.... But this could all be media spin.
Which is not unusual in a recruitment processAt this stage the applicants seem to be shortlisting themselves.
That's a good point but I just hope they would be as ruthless as Sam was at Hawthorn. Why would you think the appointment of Newman or Grigg wouldn’t be changing things much ? Neither has ever coached at Richmond.
It would be like saying the appointment of Mitchell at hawthorn wasn’t changing much and his approach is 180 degrees from Clarkson
I’m pretty sure Dimma in this context meant -I just hope the club doesn't go on the path we want the next Dimma as Benny said let the prospective coaches and new coach be his own man.
I don’t think he means the same as Dimma. The context was someone who would grow as a coach along with the team.I just hope the club doesn't go on the path we want the next Dimma as Benny said let the prospective coaches and new coach be his own man.
He was tactically a brilliant coach who really didn't have a chance with the *smile* he had running our club.I had scrubbed that period from my memory !!
But you are right
Understand this, the tigers must haves in a coach would rule out 90% of most coaches and they would know it so most won't apply when they know,I have not got a chance.I don’t know how anyone else feels but I’m finding it hard to get excited about most of these applicants

I’m pretty sure Dimma in this context meant -
the next coach who will be a successful long term coach and develop a group for multiple premierships
And didn’t mean -
Someone who is very much like dimma
Well if you put it that wayWe get smashed by the Lions lose by 81pts
Struggle against last placed Wet Coke but win by 38pts whilst other sides use the game to gain huge % boost
Fall over the line and win by 1pt against the Dawks
Lose by 32pts against the Dees
Smashed by Doggies in the first qtr to lose by 55pts
Sinners do as they like we have no answer lose by 36pts
So it’s all resting on whether we beat the Roos a side that’s won 2 games lost 19 in 2023 If we beat them Mini Dimma gets a 3 year deal
If that’s whats required to get the coaching job we’re well and truly *smile*
Alot hate us. Im not surprised alot have dropped off and not applied especially with all the noise coming out of the club it's McQuack job to lose.I don’t know how anyone else feels but I’m finding it hard to get excited about most of these applicants

Exactly right. Hardwick too wasn't necessarily an inspiring choice at the time. Hindsight says otherwise.I don’t know how anyone else feels but I’m finding it hard to get excited about most of these applicants
