2024 Richmond Coach

I think that is what I am saying. My post was in response to a suggestion Benny had dropped the ball when Dimma said he was having motivational issues at the end of 2022
Not how i read it.But no big deal.Although not sure how Kingsley would be any part of it as wasn't he appointed prior to the Finals?

Yze might be the man but I don’t think that’s the reason it’s taking so long to appoint. They have earmarked end of September decision before the interviews, they probably need that time for final sign off etc

Just reading the fluff piece on Toby Greene via the AFL site.

Said Kingsley was not a fan of the co captaincy set up at Richmond, hence his decision to make Greene the sole leader at GWS.
I hope whoever we choose they have the same philosophy!

Presumably McQualter and X were okay with it, so they probably won’t change it.

Newy got a good endorsement from Dimma back in 2012.

"Richmond captain Chris Newman has taken on an unofficial playing-coaching role within the Tigers’ line-up, according to the Club’s senior coach Damien Hardwick."

The unassuming Newman, who recently reached league football’s 200-game milestone, is highly regarded by Hardwick for his astute football brain and leadership qualities.

“Unless you’re within our four walls, you wouldn’t know the impact he (Newman) has had on our playing group,” Hardwick said on SEN.

“His leadership, on and off the field, is outstanding.

“He’s a great character - one of those guys you love having around your footy club . . .

"He’s got that leadership capability that brings blokes along. He’s effectively another coach on the ground."

“We’ve been very fortunate . . . we’ve got young leaders in players such as Deledio, Cotchin, Riewoldt, but to have such a mature head on ‘Newy’s’ shoulders is vitally important.

“He out-thinks us in the coaches box sometimes. Before our messages are sent, he’s already doing what’s required.”

Hardwick also sang the praises of young Tiger vice-captain and reigning Jack Dyer Medallist, Trent Cotchin.

“I’m spoiled . . . I get to watch him on a weekly basis, as do the Richmond supporters,” Hardwick said. “It’s scary to think the level he can get to. “He’s such an important player for us.

“The one thing he’s had over the last two years, which he hadn’t had previously, because of his body, is his ability to train.

“We’ve been really pleased with the amount of work rate he’s getting into his body.

“Where that takes him, we don’t know, but he’s certainly a really important part of our future and, as far as we’re concerned, one of the best midfielders in the competition at the moment.”

Cuse I get bullied and put down on these forums and when that happens it's usually they are coming from a place of brokenness or hurt

So I need to mindful qnd respectful of that space they are in and not add insult to injury but rather show compassion and love

Don't need to be a martyr mate.

I want whoever that coach is, to be on the ground.

Move with times.

Assistants upstairs.

Coach on the boundary.

How many Mondays do we need to wait for the announcement? Been waiting since 2016
Typical Richmond. Keep us supporters waiting for 7 years going through 3 imaginary premierships....bloody hell. I've had enough. I'm burning my membership.
