League bosses do not have much faith rookie coach Adem Yze can immediately reverse Richmond’s fortunes, handing the Tigers just two games on Thursday and Friday nights, down from seven this year. Of the Victorian clubs, only lowly pair Hawthorn and North Melbourne have fewer.
Adding salt to the wound, they have been sent down the highway to play Geelong at GMHBA Stadium, a venue where they have won just three times since 1982.

This Dimma to the Huns story is getting fatter by the minute. All inside planning by this *smile* of a league.

Dees finished top 4 and no Fridays!!!
...although really who would want to watch the Dees in primetime!

Ranking the opponents we play twice:

1) Carlton - good team but overachieved in 2023
2) Port Adelaide - Mediocre team
3) Gold Coast - Medicore
4) Saints - Making up numbers
5) Fremantle - Rebuilding bottom 4 team
6) Hawthorn - Rebuilding bottom 4 team

If we were Richmond 2019
This would be an easy draw
But because we have become Richmond 1989 again, every game is hard.
I guarantee you every opposition side is happy to play us.

Hopefully by say round 10 we are respected again. GWS finished 16th and beat zero top 8 teams in 2022 and look what a new coach did to them

I can cop going to Geelong as we're probably due again but how does Collingwood not get 1 game down there in 25 years!
And yet again Port Adelaide in Adelaide after travelling there for the 3rd time in 3 months.
That now makes it only 9 MCG games from 41 games against them, weird.

Which other big Melbourne clubs have to play the Cats on their cheat ground? They clearly have no respect for us now we’re not winning flags, yet they want to cash in on our appeal by using us as one of the big clubs to play in their stupid round zero concept.
