2024 Draft Thread

How accurate has Cal been over the years?

He's usually spot on for the first 12 or so, then pretty close for the rest of the first round.

But this draft is different because one club holds 1 in 3 picks, and it's the one club who doesn't trade secrets for favour.

extremely.

but in the other years where one club held as many picks in the first round,

they were held by green horn AFL franchises, so comms sanctioned.

this year, its like trying to guess what Mossad are gonna do

Any big Smilie fans on here ? I just don’t see it at all!!

ive always absolutely loved Smilie.

I'll be absolutely gutted if we dont get him.

ive always maintained he'll be better than Bont and Cripps combined

I reckon his list is way off this season. Shanahan? Smillie I like, but I've read some doubts on his game. Why would Snowbourne bid?

I think you should go into a meltdown over Twomey. "! $&(;&@) Twomey ! This is bullshiiiit !!"

I think with plenty of trades going down Cal's predictions will look like a dog's breakfast in the wash-up, I'm not reading a lot into this. I also think he may have underestimated our interest in Tauru, given we're looking at squeezing North nobody in the media would be privy to such sensitive information.

I think he will be a fair way off the mark

simply can't be right.

one full time mid?

I think Twomey has about as much idea as we do this year.

Tigers cards too close to chest.
2 full time mids Lalor and Smillie ,but in reality there isn't to many full time mids considered in the first round ,lot's of pinch hitters .
I still maintain this draft has depth ,but lacks a bit of deep class,it sort of falls away quickly ,l think a couple of the one's considered late 1st round/2nd round picks will surprise ,and some of the tall kp's will as well.

I'll be smiling with whomever we get. We've already won by somehow obtaining 1 in 3 picks in a superdraft. It's a brilliant way to rebuild, and we're the first to do it.

Even better if we can somehow use this rare advantage as leverage to extract even more value.

Bloody hell Bungal. If Tombstone Twomey is right and we take Dattoli at 21 I'll owe you a carton of beer. Nooooooooooooooo !!!!!!

If it pams out like that after we pick Lalor at 1, I’d be hoping we go Tauru at 6 and smillie and Lindsay slip through to 10 and 11. I like Faul and dattoli with our later picks. Don’t mind Dodson either

Dattoli is a good player ,better than some of the more better regarded player's IMO of course .
