2024 Draft Thread

Pick 2 and future first for 6 and 11 is extremely attractive. But it is not about numbers it is about best value.

North have mids to burn and my guess is that they would be hoping that 6 and 11 buys them Tauru and Armstrong.
They are also the two I suggested in an earlier post that we should take if we continue to hold those picks.
Such a possibility goes against our need for mids but these are all top liners and imo are likely to be the best available.
Best policy with rd 1 is best available.

It then becomes (Lalor at 1) then O’Sullivan and an unknown 2025 top liner, or( (Lalor), Tauru and Armstrong.

Still hanging out for Tauru and Armstrong.

Why do people always jump to a personal insinuation just because you rate a kid less highly than others do?

I've heard we're not into Smith in the top few. Neither am I. Leave the jibes out of it thanks.
Your "I have heard" is being used to back up your personal opinion. I have heard RFC is not interested in Cadman and Jagga is our first choice. Perhaps I should stop listening to people who have nFI. I will be happy to take any combination of Lalor/Jagga/FOS/, your opinion (and you voices from afar) will not change my view.

2025 WOULD BE A PERFECT TIME TIME TO STRIKE.
Cadman is suppose to be close with Lalor ,probably because they come from the same area ,and played a few games together at the Rebels, plus he is/was a Tiger supporter ,and he play's for a souless club,,and the big thing we can offer a huge contract with the space we will have .
He will only be 21 at the end of 2025,,all fits for me.

That seals it. This is historic times folks.

You are witnessing the two greatest PR drafting campaigns in history in 2024.

1) PRO LALOR- next Dusty and already a key pillar in attracting players for the future who are under contract. The Golden Donut.
2) ANTI SMITH- Falls under the no blokes at Richmond named after the Rolling Stones clause. This is the only reason I can see for the level of hate.

i'm certainly not anti Smith, I would welcome him but I reckon he's very obtainable with some subtle movement of pick 10 (presuming Langford is unavailable). I think speed is the go, quick mids don't grow on trees so nailing down those spots early is a sensible approach.

Na. My 'have heard' aligns with my opinion.

I'm not trying to change anyone's views.

More hysterical hyperbole

Why do you care so much that people don't rate Jagga as highly as you do? You seem to take it personally.
I don't take it personally at all. It's challenging an opinion that sits outside the norm of any mock draft, any person in the drafting industry. It's flat earth stuff.

And you love to quote or challenge person that talks of Jagga in a positive sense. It's weird how much you denigrate him. Personal vendetta as someone else mentioned on here. It's a great draft with no stinkers in the first three that we can take. I'm at ease with all of them and have said I wouldn't take Lalor and FOS together due to their injury concerns. Manage your risk.

It was joke. I thought it was mildly amusing. In no way did I ever think you actually knew Jagga's nana. You can rate however you want.
