2024 Draft Thread

Get pick 3. Get pick 5.

1. FOS
3. Jags
5. Lalor

Norf aren't taking Jags at 2.
Dream result. Covers a lot of deficiencies and the potential upside of this combination is enormous.

Lalor is the biggest risk reward of the trio but the potential reward is too great not to take a punt on.

I'm sick of names, stats and favourite colours.

Who are the best kids?
Kids that bleed to play AFL!
Kids that run all day!
Kids that learn without dropping out?
Kids that are team 1st!
Kids that want to win!
Kids that can put up playing alongside Samson & Sony

One of the biggest traits talls can have is, courage, hardness, determination, so many great key forwards had these.
Lynch,Carey, Jack,Hawkins, Brisbane Brown, young Darcy, etc, then u look at missing all 3 mostly u have, Scache,Vickery, Weidmann, etc.

yep, you want the bloke who understands how big and athletic he is,

and enjoys leaving a groaning mess of squashed blokes.

The Whitlocks. Think they're about right in the rankings ie 20 or so but can't quite get a lock on them personally.

Sometimes they look pretty good - good movement for their height, dual sided, good below their knees for their height, can take the odd good grab.

But then other times they look a bit unco, drop marks that they should take, don't compete as hard as they maybe could be.

Maybe they haven't quite grown into their bodies. Maybe their confidence still needs developing.

Slow burns ? Who knows. Could be great. Could be busts. Can't quite get a pulse on them. Think maybe Matt is the best of the two. Can play both back and up front. Looks the more sure of the two, at this stage.

It was the Murray Bushrangers who took home the biggest win of the round as the Whitlock twins combined for nine goals and 11 marks to thump the Western Jets by 94 points. Jack (17 disposals, five goals) and Matt (14 disposals, four goals) are a two-headed beast down at the Bushrangers and cause nightmares for defenders. You can definitely sense the twins will be a huge addition to the AFL as the next brother combination accompanying the likes of Max and Ben King, as well as Harry and Ben McKay.

My equal biggest excitement is its almost a fact that we will draft at least 1 key forward top 30

Oakleigh flogging Sandy. 5.6 to 1.1 at quarter time. Jagga racking them up, has a goal (set shot from 49 just made it) and a goal assist. FOS kicked a set shot goal from 50 and has done three other good things: a long centre clearance kick that was marked and converted (does that count as a goal assist?), a nice gather and dish after a poor pass from Jagga, and a big contested ball win deep in defence.

The Jets were deplorable in that game.

Hopefully a glimpse of our future in the second quarter. Jagga won a centre clearance, had a bounce then slipped a handball to FOS who goaled from 45 on the run.

FOS looked to hurt his finger and went off with six minutes left in the quarter.

Ashcroft a non-factor. Reid slowly got into the game that quarter. Armstrong can't get near it. Ludowycke looking better.

Gross and Alger going ok.

Thanks for the updates Spook.

Looks like another BOG performance by Jagga.

I won't mention that Oakleigh are 3 and 10 with Jagga averaging 38 touches, FOS comes back and they're flogging the top team on their home deck.

Best 4 disposal game I’ve ever seen
