2024 Draft Thread

Nah. Reid himself has spoken about his number 1 area for improvement - speed.

Smith is just average.

It's Draper, Berry, Champion that have the speed. Allan is ok. Lombard, Ashcroft ok.

We need speed. Badly. There's not a lot of it in this draft.
Looks fairly quick to the eye. I guess we wait for the testing to be done.

I don’t particularly care how good they are. I want a couple of left footers drafted. :giggle: I’m a bit sick of all these run of the mill right footers who can’t hit *smile*. At least lefties look good even if they miss.
Ones with big arses and some meat on em.

PRE Junior pundits, what is Berry's pick range? We need to get him in.

I reckon someone will reach for him. Hopefully Richmond.

But @spooks right, his consensus range is 8-15.

He could also be a shock pick 4 or an unfathomable 20.

The sheer depth of talent and the difficulty of separating 30-40 kids suggest it will be a wildly unprectible draft i reckon.

Its the first time ever i reckon the main phantoms first rounds in August are vastly different. One will have bo allen at 4 and another at 20

it would take some serious trade/drafting genius to nab Smitty, FOS, Lalor, & Berry in that case.

He kicks seamlessly on both feet. Makes Leon Cameron look like an unco.
His disposal efficiency on those highlights was very ordinary. Is there any site you can find DE for the potential draftees??

Its quite doable i reckon,

If we have 3 top 10, Smilie and Trainor go top 7 to other clubs

All of which are likely.

If we have 1 ,3, 8, 12, 17, 21 Twomey lastest rankings get us

Jagga (1) (CT 2)
FOS (3) (CT 4)
Lalor (8) (CT 9)
travaglia (12) (CT 13)
joe berry (17) (CT 17)

(Id be pulling the trigger on Joeberry at 8)

Then we take Shanahan, Faull or Sims at 21

And another one of em at 30

That haul has everything

A clearance evasion machine
A No.1 mid
A mercurial goal kicking powerful mid
A quick isaac smith type wingman
A nathan brown goal freak

Plus 2 power forwards

Brisbane's 14! I still don't know how we don't end up with that.
