2024 Draft Thread

Watching Collingwood tonight and it reinforces to me how much kicking skills matter.

I do like the thought of FOS and Murphy Reid making decisions with the ball by foot.

We can’t take on any iffy kicks.
Smith very good by foot as well.

Starting to think it’s not going to happen, Reid looking 6-12 for me.

Baker pick will be just after that I reckon.
We will get the Port pick which Freo hold. Could be around 9.

But he'll pick West Coast, won't he?
We need the pressure on Freo though. They have 3 first round picks.
I think his preference is West Coast but we need to let Baker and his management know Freo has the better hand unless of course West Coast are willing to part with Pick 3. We know they won’t.

My point is we can’t just roll over anymore and be the nice guys.

If 3 will be involved, then WC will want to trade pick 3 down to a mid first rounder.

So it will be Baker and pick 10-12 for pick 3 IMO.

We'll have to find a way to come up with the mid first rounder.

If we can manage to get the suns 1st pick from the Dusty move (Should he go and yes i know he's a UFA}Only way i think it can get done is if we pay a good % of Dustys contract for the next 2yrs which we can afford. So Baker & Pick 8>>West Coast for Pick 3.Pick 8 for them should get them Bo Allan.
Other pics may have to get involved from/for west coast /suns but i'll leave that too the experts.

Xavier Lindsay would fit the bill . Definitely in the range of our second round pick.

Has AFL physical traits and very good decision making and disposal.

Off BF from Davo 27.

I have no idea if he has any idea but looks to be a junior watcher.

Just interesting to see how even this draft is after the first couple. Rankings will be different for a lot of people.

The only consistency I am seeing now is FOS at 1.

jeez that order would probably land us:

which would strongly suggest the footy god hasn't forsaken us
