I think the salient point is that we all know we need 1 or even 2 key position tall forwards, but, we didn't pick a tall forward.
What does that tell you?
It tells you that the recruiting staff at Richmond did not rate the tall forwards on offer at the mid season draft.
Time will tell if they were correct, but they would have very good reasons for the choice they made.
I have said before that I am frustrated at the sheer number of half back flankers we seem to pick up, and on that score I really do question what is going on.
But this draft I just get the clear impression that the Richmond recruiting staff did not rate the tall forward available, and if you don't rate them you don't draft them. Seems a reasonable way to operate.
