2023 mid-season rookie draft

Still keen on Buller. Size and strength wise ready to go. Fills a glaring need.

Can ruck as well. 22 touches, 14 marks, 4 goals, 8 hitous. Plays like a brute.

would the club be aware which of our VFL players have been approached by other Clubs ?

He's certainly a big boy.

Leap/athleticism the question marks?

Watch the footage, he pushes hard up to the wings. He can run and move. I'm not saying he has Lynch type athleticism but he moves well for his size. Not just a stay at home brute. I just see a footballer. It translates.

Apparently Maric is going #1, very possible Buller is available at our pick
Love Bullers stats ,just not sure on afl.traits ,has he got the weapons at the level.
U look at guys like hawkins,Cameron, kings, buddy, Jack, etc and u can see at least 1 elite trait.
Then u go to mihochek, Street ,membrey,Naughton, and u definitely see either or a combination of marking strength, pace etc.

I reckon if Buller is available we'll probably pass for the likes of Trezise or Hansen jnr anyway

As a half back or small forward?
At 188cm, one of his appeals is his versatility - young, can play back, forward, wing or even mid. He looks the safest bet, a genuine talent with real potential to step up a lot more. (It's all in the name - Tre -size!)

It's tough now with about 11 clubs nominating. We might have interest in Tresize, Hunter, Teal, Hansen Jnr, May, Buller.

Must get the first one right because our 2nd preference will likely be gone. Personally, would like to try Buller because I think we need to find another KPF. He looks promising now he's overcome injurt setbacks. Bullus' esteemed judgement is, "Ruck/forwards always the best bet ..."

However, we already have the 2 Bs - Bauer and Bradtke - neither of whom we have seen fit to give a senior game yet. Although it looks they are training Bauer to play back as a possible replacement for Tarrant in '24 with Grimes re-signed.
Is Bradtke much more advanced, a better prospect than Buller? What do VFL watchers think? I have watched some VFL games on TV and he's shown he is probably worth a go after Jack retires, whether sooner or later.

Sill wouldn't mind taking Buller or Hunter though - even if Bradtke makes it. Nank may burn out young from wear n'tear, Ryan will become No.1 ruck in a couple of years, and Tom is into his 30s.

Tresize most likely the safer bet; but be very surprised if Buller is there for our 2nd. Think that might come down to Teal or May.

# Apologies; have come a bit late to this thread and just caught up will all the footage. Confused Buller/Hunter - similar types and looking - happy with either but Buller preference.

Nice highlights package Will he last to our pick?
Looks a bit tall for HB
if he’s gone let’s get May in May

Anyone who has been watching the VFL would have seen that the Kicking by Tresize makes Hugo look like Daicos.

Key forward is his role in the Lynch style. We are desperate to fill that role. 22-year-old who fits in our list profile.

Gee I thought that Hansen Jnrs "highlights" package was very underwhelming. He didn't hit many targets, only saw him kick with his left foot, fumbled consistently, had trouble marking, (pretty much like most of our blokes this year)

I wasn't at all impressed

Is Shaun Mannagh a chance of being picked up. Think he would be a good option as a small forward. 25, and his stats are outstanding for a small forward.

Averaging 27 touches, 6.5 tackles and 2.75 scoring shots per game.

Just heard our recruiting guys have caught up for a meeting
