2023 mid-season rookie draft

Thats a great site! I reckon it shows we actually have a pretty balanced list age wise, but highlights the importance of that 2021 draft- if 3 of them become regulars it keeps our demographic even.
Yeah its a really good tool. You are right about 2021 and I think the majority of us on PRE have understood how critical that class is. It's our bridge between genrations and we probably have too many eggs in that basket. I'm still bullish on Gibcus and Clark, with huge hopes on Sonsie making the grade, and more wishful about the other two than hopeful.

Interesting data.
Makes me think that picking a 25yo in this mid-season draft can be a good thing.
What we want is that core group of players.
We have that 2015-2018 and hoping to have it 2021-22.

As an example its why Tylar Young fits in

Tom North from East Perth has been playing some good footy. He's 24 and playing off the half back flank, a nice left footer coming out of defence. Had stints with Freo and Carlton but never got an AFL game. Was a midfielder that went to defence.

Do we need another half back flanker? Just asking.

James Trezise had a fair game today in our VFL team. What's the deal with him? Our website lists him as a forward but he played as a defender. Named in our best in three of the last four games.

Be good to have 2 picks, as I like Mutaz El Nour too. He's injured at the moment, or maybe we're hiding him.

The Hawks and the Eagles are fighting tooth and nail to see who can have the worst percentage and have the first pick in the draft.

Watched a bit of the Claremont v Swan Districts game yesterday to see Jack Buller (he was ordinary) but SD had an interesting player by the name of Thomas Edwards. Looks nothing like a footballer, skinny, arms as thin as matchsticks but was courageous, left footer (think of a blonde haired Kenny Hunter) took a very nice make and kicked 2.3. 22, 191 cm. No idea if he’s on anyone’s radar for the MSD but was fun to watch.
