I’m taking a couple of positives out of the pies winning.
1. It wasn’t Carlton
2. It wasn’t Geelong

I’m happy to let the pies fans at work enjoy their win, but if they start rubbing me up the wrong way I’ll just tell them to get back to me if you win a couple more in the next 3 years. If you don’t then you are just one hit wonders like the teams that won flags after us

I'm.not sure if it was planned by Fagan or whether his side was just too scared to actually attack, but they will win nothing playing putrid football like that.

The Pies stole one while the comp was at a low ebb. Winning that game by under a goal to possibly the stupidest team going around was hardly inspiring.

Collingwood lose one of their tall defenders early in the game, and Brisbane don't have the good sense to get the ball down to their tall forwards quickly. I'm no Hipwood fan, but when a team is going backwards and sideways with 15m kicks, you simply aren't going to get many opportunities as a tall forward.

That premiership team has got 4 or 5 players that would struggle to make the starting 22 in most AFL sides, but at rhe end of the day, they have premiership medals.hanging around their.necks.

But it just looked to me like the Lions were so scared of losing that they never gave themselves a chance to actually win the game by taking it on.

Besides the scores being so close, it was a outriders game to watch.

I haven't seen Brisbane play that slow all year and especially in the last 2 games.
They kicked the ball backwards and sideways all day refuse to get speed into the game.
When they did it in the 2nd qtr they went from 10 points down to 13 point's up.
Brisbane has too many players that wait for others to chase and then tackle.
Dacios all day side stepped on coming opposition.
He was really hard to watch.
They looked clueless with the length of the MCG.
They refuse to go long

Just got home. *smile* result but one of the best GF's I've seen in a while (excluding the obvious). Hats off to the pies they got it done when it counted. The contentious 50 in the last quarter killed the lions. Still, what a cracking game.
