2023 Draft Thread.

Both the AFLHQ and #Lolnorf nothing but a pathetic disgrace. This kind of handout *smile* to a club that simply runs on self inflicted incompetence is nothing less than knee capping every other team in the comp.

Heh heh heh…he went ballistic. Looked like his head was gonna explode.

Apparently we’ve been incensed too and Gale and co have been right into the AFL.

As usual, zero return though.

Does anyone else think North might be heading to Tassie, and the AFL is taking a different approach.

Put it this way,it would make more sense this time ,to start a new team with a more established team.
They would get a extended salary cap for a few years ,but would get less priority picks in the draft being a more established side.
It makes sense to relocate north, even when they are going well they just keep there heads above the waves

EDIT,l should have also added the AFL is feathering Norths nest now,so if they relocate they won't get as many priority picks.

So our pick 25 becomes 26 automatically.

Then you have 3 Gold Coast academy boys, our pick becomes 29.

Then you have Will McCabe and Matthew Croft, so our pick becomes 31.

McKay Compo pick our pick becomes 32, at the earliest. I said halfway through the year it would roll out to 35.

Got told I was crazy.

I don't normally agree with Chris Scott but he's bang on there. The same with what Ross said, that was Gales preorogative with the Tiges when he was laughed out of the building with his target setting in the late 2000's, but here we are sitting pretty with the 100k members he said and the 3 premierships he said too. We dug ourselves out of it, particularly at a time when we got pushed back thanks to the new clubs coming in. Remember we finished 2nd last when we got to recruit Brandon Ellis at what, pick 15? North are getting none of that impact from new clubs, yet get the greatest AF assistance pretty much on record for an established side.

I think the other 17 clubs should band together & tell the incompetent /corrupt idiots at AFLHQ that enough is enough.

I'm sick to death of their blatant hypocrisy & corruption. Its no wonder I only watch Tigers games now. Couldn't give a fats rats clackers about any other games. I will definitely not be watching the GF, I can't stand either team.

As for the Brownlow!!!!!!!!! That has pretty much become irrelevant.

Just as well we didn't invest in this year's draft. Can understand why not bothering until the farce ends.

I also got called crazy when I suggested we trade a future second instead of putting three firsts up for trade. In any case that will be in the Morris range, probably not high enough for Moir who I think goes in the top 30.

Trading next year's first to get into this years first would be a horribly short-term move.

This year's draft is decidedly average after 15, if we can get a couple of picks between 20-50 great but I wouldn't be giving up a lot.

If you can get a salary dump or help a father-son situation great but besides that I'd be taking it very easy.

Hold the line with our current picks, I'd be ok with Morris in that range, let's just aim for a Mihocek type and make a serious play for Cadman next year.
