2023 Draft Thread.

You'd just hope Curtin doesn't fall to GWS & WCE don't offer their future first in exchange...

There has to be more to this trade by WCE. Surely thy aren't offering up their future 1st for Pick 9!! That would be ridiculous. You'd think it would have to include GWS's 1st in 2024 aswell. Ie. they get Curtin and another player next year. They will most likely finish last again next year, at best 2nd last, so giving up a future Pick 1 or 2 for Curtin at Pick 9 seems like crazytalk.

I read Twomey mention this kid as a potential target for us. I haven’t heard his name at all until now.

Liam Fawcett
State: South Australia
State League Club: Central District
Community Club: Pooraka
Date of Birth: 22/04/05
Height: 197cm

Strong marking tall forward who is mobile and a reliable set shot for goal in clutch moments. Averaged 15.4 disposals and 6.6 marks in 16 games for Central District at under 18 level this year and booted 32 goals, including one with the last kick to win a final. Also represented South Australia in two games at the National Championships and booted two goals against the Allies. Tested soundly at the state Draft Combine with his 3.08 seconds for the 20m sprint and 6:38 for the 2km time trial both strong performances for a key forward.

For the draft watchers out there what are your thoughts? His write up seems like a player who should go top 30.
Can confirm he is a cousin of TigerFawcett.

Surely Curtin at no 9 is crazytalk?
