Getting the best KPP in the draft has to be a bonus and getting a player who is clean with speed and skills is a big tick for me , however it’s all just theory atm , time will tell

I think that was dumb. They don't need Hobbs, their midfield is pretty stacked. Small forwards are a dire need for them.

What I like is the flexibility these two picks gives us. Gibcus could play down back but allow Balta to move forward and vice-versa.

Brown slots down back moving Stack to a far more damaging role up forward.

Totally agree.

I think what Matt Clarke said y/day on AFL.com is important to remember - you cant fix your whole list in one draft.
Our defence is super shaky and we've really made a great start on it tonight.
Not only did we lose Dave and Bachar, but Grimes is 30+ and Flossy worries me with concussions and injuries. Stack is not as reliable as we all think to make it long term.

This gives us some options with Balta to pinch hit in the ruck/forward if we lose more talls. And Brown is a safe bet.

D.Rioli & Stack not capable of filling that vacancy? I reckon they well and truly are, sure different players but can be as good if not better. Dan was playing close to AA quality when shifted at half back. Even Ralphsmith, Dow, & Mansell could take that spot. It may be wing or bust for Brown considering the list dynamics

I reckon things are delicately poised, you would hope we're working behind the scenes to get hold of Freo's pick, that will be Johnson no doubt. Hawthorn will take Sonsie, I'm pretty certain. That leaves Taylor. McDonald & Goater perhaps. I could live with that haul, I might be tempted to give it an A. Will it happen? Probably not but this draft has been highly unpredictable.

Well I am a bit stunned - just tuned in again and I can’t believe it.

I was a Johnson fan - may still happen but doubtful.

I reckon with all the disruptions to the juniors, this was bound to happen, with wild variations in where the media rated some of the players.

If we peaved the cats and swans off then Brown must have some supporters so it will be a great call if we end up cutting their lunch on a decent player.

I back the club in though and I love it when we do it our way - I have faith.
