2021 Draft Thread

Nope, he was NGA until last year, now anyone can grab him and they can’t interject.

I have Alleer between 20-40.
Even if he was still NGA they can't match prior to pick 20. The rule doesn't include Northern Academy's however (a whole new story altogether that 1)

Does he get enough of the footy? 9 disposals. Is he a lockdown defender or intercept defender?
Lock down, loves to use his leap to crush it. Can intercept but he’s so raw that intercepts come from being a great athlete as opposed to reading the play and getting to spots.

These are not predictions as such but they are a combined top 20 from a lot of draft contributors.
In order to make this first list, 4 of the 5 draft watches must have rated them in the top 20.

The draft watchers are Knightmare - Twomey - Davo-27 - EDPS - PM Bangers

1. (1.2) Nick Daicos (2, 1, 1, 2, 1)
2. (1.6) Jason Horne-Francis (1, 2, 2, 1, 2)
3. (3.0) Sam Darcy (3, 3, 3, 3, 3)
4. (4.0) Finn Callaghan (4, 4, 4, 4, 4)
5. (7.6) Josh Ward (5, 6, 7, 11, 9)
6. (8.0) Neil Erasmus (6, 10, 6, 7, 11)
7. (8.8) Ben Hobbs (18, 5, 5, 10, 6)
8. (11.6) Josh Gibcus (20, 7, 20, 6, 5)
9. (11.8) Josh Sinn (NA, 15, 15, 7, 10)
10. (12.5) Josh Goater (NA, 18, 8, 8, 17)
11 (13.0) Arlo Draper (12, 12, NA, 12, 16)
12. (13.8) Matthew Johnson (8, 13, 14, 19, 15)
13 (14.8) Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera (16, 14, 12, 14, 18)
14. (15.2) Matthew Roberts (7, 17, 13, 20, 19)
15. (15.6) Josh Rachele (15, 9, 16, 18, 20)

and now the people who were in 3 top the top 20's

16. (8.3) Mac Andrew (10, 8, NA, NA, 7)
17 (11.6) Tyler Sonsie (NA, 16, NA, 5, 14)
18. (15.3) Campbell Chesser (NA, 20, NA, 13, 13)

now the people who were in 2 of the top 20's

19. (9.0) Josh Fahey (NA, NA, 10, 17, NA)
20. (14.0) Darcy Wilmot (NA, NA, NA, 16, 12)
21. (17.5) Mitch Knevitt (17, NA, 18, NA, NA)
Excellent something like I do myself, interesting if each club was put next in their draft order to give a idea on probably wouldn't pick.

Very project type. Not sure how he goes before pick 40.

There was a lot of talk a few weeks ago about this Bubkes kid but its all dried up, what happened, poor test results? Slide through to the rookie draft?

Yeah l like him a lot,l wondered why he missed a few nab matches ,he was playing School football for Haileybury .
I don't think recruiters would over look him ,he's a goal kicking mid with good skills and great work rate .

Funny l was reading a article about him about 20 minutes ago ,he played his first senior match at 16 for Doveton and got BOG,l have been trying to find whats the knock on him,,l can't find nothing.
MacDonald is an absolute ripper. Won Hailebury’s B&F and interestingly played a number of games at full forward. Kicked 6 against Wesley just to add to his versatility. I’d snap him up at pick 26 if still available.

Sier fascinates me, I’d take the risk.
Lazy footballer with talent that just doesnt want it enough and not prepared to work hard or by the rules to get there
Pass. If he was 5-6cm shorter he wuld have been delisted 2 years ago and nobody would have remembered him now

I was taking proverbial, I rate him, just bringing up his most famous howler. And that's not to say I haven't got some skeletons, ranked Bont at 11 & Naughton at 23, so I'm also guilty as charged.
Im still waiting for Gourdis to develop into the beast foward we needed after Richo

I'm thinking pick 38 or 40
Glad to see opinion moving towards taking five, or are you actually thinking six is a possibility!

By my calculation, ? there, six at the draft would require Stacky to re-sign but stay on the rookie list, and then at least one further departure.
Just wondering how the available deadlines work and if the club is still permitted to make further spots available in that way. Anyone?

Maybe he can be Phil Inn for ever now.
I would be shocked if he gets another run.
But blokes like Parker and Stengle have been given another chance.

presently we have 29 on main list so spots for 7-9 as the min is 36 & max 38 on main list

we wont do that though, we have promised Noah & Biggy rookie spots so to do that we need to upgrade (or delist) at least 2 rookies & we currently have 3 that have already been on rookie list for 3 years in Aarts, Pickett & Stack, im thinking we will upgrade those 3 & leave a rookie spot open for SSP or MSRD

I personally would consider it a waste of a pick at 7 for Mac Andrews as many similar talents end up teases and he would need 6.2 million pre seasons to compete at AFL level.
