2020 AFL fixture

and last round bye v suns at the G

How do these pricks keep getting a game against the Suns in the last couple at the G?

FFS how much they paying them for that?

The suns are done by round 12 worn out.

Last round at the G what a gift ......again as they got last season which nigh got them into the 4 which would've cost us.

In the end those last 2 hitouts we had v WC and the lions probably helped set up our finals run.
Let's see them rest a few, have the week off...... then get smashed in the first final, IF they make it!

According to a Lions supporter I heard call up.... said he was happy with the draw considering they'd finished 2nd!..... never been happier to finish 3rd on that basis!
Will be interesting to see how they go with the weight of expectation next year.

Their draw looks great. Collingwood will likely finish the highest of the teams they play twice. Gold Coast will finish bottom most likely. Geelong likely heading lower imo. Hawks haven't been this weak for a long time. And North. Don't play any Of Tigers, GWS or West Coast twice.

The below analysis is order by degree of difficulty based on who each team is playing twice (based on 2019 home and away finishing positions)

WC
6.2
GWS
6.8
Coll
7.0
Geel
7.2
Haw
8.0
NM
8.4
Rich
8.4
Bris
8.8
Port
10.0
Ess
10.0
Carl
10.2
Adel
10.4
Syd
11.4
WB
11.4
GC
11.4
Stk
11.6
Mel
12.0
Freo
12.2
For example, the teams that Richmond play twice in 2020, their average ladder position on 2019 was 8th (8.4).

Richmond draw looks pretty good in this light, particularly compared to the main contenders.

WB an easy one - teams played twice are GWS, Port, NM, Freo, Carl.
So that's Wet Coke, GeeWhizz, Colonwood n the Moggies with the easiest draws in the comp. Would have thought we'd somehow have the easiest draw in the comp, considering how we just play everyone who finished below us this year.

Very comfortable with this years draw, should be putting the frighteners up the rest of the comp again in 2020. Might even be able to rotate a few young fringies through the team in the last six weeks, so we can assess their potential before choosing our squad to play throughout the finals.

Contrived *smile* that favours others yet not as bad as i expected us to get bent over, its the favour other sides get that boils my pisss

Collingwood get Suns at the G for second year in a row how ....why do these bastards get this free hit.

Tigers don't get that luxury.

Freo away again but not in Melbourne conveniently in last round .....wankers the media will by circle jerking that they got that one.

AFL protects the Brisbane Koalas by not making them come to the G again to play the Tigers even though they finished top 4.......... farce, yet they get 2 games against the Suns and gifted 8 points before the season starts. Too scared we might break them completely.

We do however get the Dogs and the Kangas back on the MCG though for a change. I cannot look forward enough to the Tigers bashing the shizen out of the Kangas at the G, its a looong time coming. Shame that *smile* wont be in the coaches box when it happens.
And we get to bash the Crows twice as they will be shithouse this year.

One game only against the Bongers ....wow thought they were contenders, its laughable the Tigers and Bombers are not meeting twice as big 4 clubs.

Eagles will be spewing they play us in Melbourne again but Bears and Cats dont.

AFL took the easy option only making us play Geelol once also at the G but its on our ground so @#$% em the wankers.

Again we only play one top 4 team twice in the Maggots.

Better draw than I was expecting to be honest.

What happen to the top sides playing each over twice?

Doesnt happen when they are protecting the Koalas from another mauling, and they dont want to have to have Geelol ferals stalking them and having to explain to them again all season long why they play us twice at the G ............................

The plan is to get two games clear with double chance then send the ressies to WA for round 23.

So the "ones" only play one game in three weeks? Not an ideal situation I would have thought coming into a QF.

Very easy draw but hard to imagine how it couldn't be when we are unlikely to lose a game all season.

I'm reminded of Warrick Todd's recollection of the 1989 Ashes series.

"By the second last test our team meetings involved reading out the name of each English player, to which we would all yell 'Girl' and be in the bar 10 minutes later."

Warwick Todd diaries :)) :))
