2020 AFL fixture

2019 we played Carl, Coll, GWS, Melb and Port twice.

2020 we play Carl, Coll, GWS, WC and Adelaide twice.

Looks slightly harder on paper, but not much in it.

West coast away is tougher, and Carlton should improve.
This time last yr the double ups for this yr looked a lot tougher than they were. We won't know how tough the draw is till post H&A next yr. We'll just have to keep being better than anyone else & we'll be fine.

My only concern is the run home, completely different to this year when we paced ourselves against the better sides, next year we will probably come home strong but we are playing a lot of teams you wouldn't expect to make the 8 in the final 6 or 7 rounds.

Overall the draw is fine, thought they would play a GF rematch a bit earlier in the season (particularly if it was in Sydney) but I guess the AFL think they've done that with the Wagga pre-season match.

We did it this year too.
Don't listen to the clowns. We played WC GWS Collingwood and Brisbane all teams fighting for top 4.
It wasn't as easy as clowns like Robbo and Cornes made it out to be.

Very annoyed. Was expecting the last 7 games at the MCG again so the salties will have something to complain about when we win the premiership again

It's great playing in the first and last games of the season.

The below analysis is order by degree of difficulty based on who each team is playing twice (based on 2019 home and away finishing positions)

WC

GWS
6.8
Coll
7.0
Geel
7.2
Haw
8.0
NM
8.4
Rich
8.4
Bris
8.8
Port
10.0
Ess
10.0
Carl
10.2
Adel

WB
11.4
GC
11.4
Stk
11.6
Mel
12.0
Freo
12.2

For example, the teams that Richmond play twice in 2020, their average ladder position on 2019 was 8th (8.4).

Richmond draw looks pretty good in this light, particularly compared to the main contenders.

WB an easy one - teams played twice are GWS, Port, NM, Freo, Carl.

14 at the MCG. 6 interstate. 5 in a row at the MCG mid-season (7 out of 8 from R6). I'm gonna be misisng at least 3 home games.

For all the carry on re the last 7 at the g last year , i think all up we played 13 there + finals. So 1 more there this year isn't a bad thing.

Draw is fine - we can play well anywhere now. Best feature to me is only 2 games at Marvel Stadium. Plus accessible Interstate games outside of the WA one's.

And the "Home" game we play there is not against one of the tenants of the dump. Never made sense to me why we played our home game at North or ST Kilda's home ground.

Gee Port Adelaides new logo is *smile*. Who came up with that? Looks too similar to Freos also.

Don't mind the draw, to be honest i thought we were going to get a rougher deal.

The "difficulty' ladder what a load of dog shiitt.
Adelaide had GC twice last year and still finished 12 games out of the 8.
Geelong are super strong at turdville but at the MCG they're no better then brisbane or Footscray.
All we need to do is finish no lower then 6th and hope WC dont finisher higher then us.

Gee Port Adelaides new logo is ****. Who came up with that? Looks too similar to Freos also.

Some spanner. Looks crap
Been around for 10 minutes, 3rd jumper, 2nd club logo and still the same shiitful club song.

We have the softest draw by far. We are the only team that doesn’t play a game against a team that finished higher than us on the ladder. Not even a measly one! How can this be?

I feel for Gold Coast, they have to play 22 games against teams that finished higher than them.

There must be a better way to do this. The reigning Premiers get a huge advantage every year.

Oh well, at least Geelong get home finals at the MCG. I hope they play us and Collingwood again in the finals, just for the LOLs.
