Wonder why the club declined to comment on the fixture. Were we denied a high-priority request?
Probably all still on holidays n the cleaner had to fill in as club spokesperson. Simply a waste of time n breath commenting on the fixture after the event, no-one's going to change anything

Spot on
And I reckon the club knows it achieves nothing but the nuffers (just like on trade radio) to give them oxygen to exists to continue to find a way to bag the club

Very disappointed we were not sent to Tokyo during the Olympics. Could have picked up another 50000 members.

Our draw is the easiest due to the fact we're the only team in the AFL who doesn't have to play Richmond once!

How good is it when we get looked after so well with prime-time games and so many games at the G. Two games at the Dump is bloody brilliant. I am tipping 15k for each game. I certainly won't bother.

Not that long ago when we used to kick and scream about how the big clubs got dream draws and we were constantly shafted.

We are a bloody powerhouse. Don't take it for granted.

fair point. i think I heard Eddie state once that they get less interstate trips because they accept being the "away team" every year when they play Melbourne on Queens Birthday. How very nice of them.

either way, many Richmond supporters refuse to go to games at Marvel. Next year we play less at Marvel and have an extra game interstate. so it won’t really affect those types.

I'd prefer to play interstate than at Chernobyl, there's something very wrong about the atmosphere at that place.

personally I couldn't give a stuff about the actual draw. The thing that is really highlighted by the 3 interstate games in the last 6 rounds, is just how much the AFL lacks leadership. It is led by the sensationalism of the totally rubbish media who make no mention of the lack of games we had at the MCG earlier in the year.

Collingwood had more games at the G for FS. And that's despite having less than 80% of our supporter base. The AFL even fawned all over them when the 2018 draw was released, giving them more prime time than us because apparently their brand was so exciting!

We finished 2 games clear on top and were easily the heaviest scoring team, and they make that comment.

As ive said along. The AFL is nothing but a little boys club with McChins and Garfield Eyes McLauchlan pissing in each others pockets.

Maybe Gill should just buy FIGJAM a steam account and get him AFL Evolution to play. He could set it to easy mode and maybe get a win against the Tigers that way.

I actually agree with the Robbos article today that the scrutiny of the draw is OTT.

I was only thinking recently that the draw scrutiny feels like a pretty recent phenomenon. It used to be that the draw was released and we got a version of it in the paper. Now it’s a major event on the calendar.

FWIW - I actually quite like having one home game at Docklands and against a side like PA it makes sense
We get in with our memberships that that’s all good
We should try and fill the joint this year.
Have always said that front row level 2 is probably the about the best vantage point for watching a game compared to just about anywhere

Yep. Lots of singin n dancin over not much. But the AFL and the attached media circus needs to stay up in everyone's faces so that no-one notices that we can actually survive without the hype for five minutes.

I’ve stopped exposing myself to media hype for about 18 months now and I feel more positive than ever.

All they do is cause stress.

Even when Richmond wins a 2nd premiership in 3 years, the way they wrote about it afterwards felt slightly annoying for the most part, while adding zero insight.

If the media is intolerable despite our multiple premierships, then I think it’ll be many years before they might be worthy of my time. Mindfulness gotta come first.

I don't get it, we may not like the joint but as a passionate Richmond Supporter I am not going to be bloody minded and abandon my club by not going to the "Dump" and supporting the boys.
Those that don't go what are your issues?

A lot has to do with the fact that we have a tendency to getting pumped there. I took my boys to both the dogs and North game and we all hated it. I also hate having to sit in *smile* seats, often near the roof, with my membership or as a visitor team. And the catering up top is *smile* also, particularly when you need to bribe the kids with food to sit through a full game.

Yep bad memories of North, Saints and Bulldogs shellackings other than that i don't have to put up with your bribery issues :)

Reckon it's been aptly named Marvel for this bloke and worth going just to see what he'll do next!
