Its hard to accept that we are still forced to play home games at the testie dome.
Ask Liverpool to play some of their homes at Luton because theyre against smaller clubs.

We play GWS, Brisbane and Geelong in a row from R7-9, and also Collingwood and West Coast before then, so 5 probable finalists in the first 9 rounds.

14 at the MCG. 6 interstate. 5 in a row at the MCG mid-season (7 out of 8 from R6). I'm gonna be misisng at least 3 home games.

So after our last 7 games this year were at the G (which is apparently the only reason we won the flag ) the AFL has well and truly fixed it for next year to keep all the salties happy. Only 4 of the last 7 are at the G (3 home, 1 away) with the other 3 interstate including a trip to Perth in the last game. The salties will need to find another reason to complain when we win it again next year.

Overall it's an okay draw which doesn't really present any obstacles to us going back to back. Although I do find it strange that we play all of GWS, Eagles and Scumwood twice. That is 3 return games against top 6 teams. I thought the fixture was set up so that a team that finished in the top 6 would have return games against 2 others from top 6, 2 form middle six and one from bottom six. Also, 6 games interstate is more than usual. I wonder how many other Vic teams (that don't sell home games) have 6 interstate.

But the positives are MCG home games against North (finally; first since 2012) and the Dogs. Not playing those two teams at Chernobyl is a big bonus; and only 2 games there overall :clap2. Once again no home game against the Suns; last one was 2015. Not that it really matters.

Pretty good draw. Go Tigers!

My only concern is the run home, completely different to this year when we paced ourselves against the better sides, next year we will probably come home strong but we are playing a lot of teams you wouldn't expect to make the 8 in the final 6 or 7 rounds.

Overall the draw is fine, thought they would play a GF rematch a bit earlier in the season (particularly if it was in Sydney) but I guess the AFL think they've done that with the Wagga pre-season match.

2019 we played Carl, Coll, GWS, Melb and Port twice.

2020 we play Carl, Coll, GWS, WC and Adelaide twice.

Looks slightly harder on paper, but not much in it.

West coast away is tougher, and Carlton should improve.
