2014 Draft/2014 Nat Champs

Yeah, don't think there are any more concession picks to the expansion clubs. GC have a mid 1st rounder tied to Geelong's and GWS have an end of 1st rounder I think. Otherwise this is the first uncompromised draft for years.

I think there is 3 concessional picks. There is one owed to Essendon

Are there any televised games this year?

Yep, check the AFL website, all the Div 1 games for the rest of the season are + some Div II

Could go late first or mid 2nd. He's a solid player and doing well this year.
Cheers.

So he probably will be around our 2nd pick. He seems to be the type we overlook after the first round. Seems to be producing nicely

Would be a tremendous get with out second pick. Agree, he is the type we overlook. Considering we passed on both Dayne Beams & Luke Parker in second rounds, I would hope that we have learnt the lesson.

This draft has to be about all about the midfield. I say that every year and every year we walk away short. Then we complain about midfield depth, then we don't want to make changes then the next draft comes around. Rinse, wash, repeat.

Agreed. We start drafting flankers and then we play the guys we drafted as mids as flankers and the flankers rot in the VFL and then we have recycled duds playing in the most important part of the field, the midfield.

Staring to get into the serious stuff now. Solid games tomorrow and I'm looking forward to them.

Hopefully the gale stops blowing long enough for the kids to get to showcase their talents Gus.

Enjoy mate.

Anyone out there know much about Nick Mellington?

Apparently "Murray Bushrangers captain in the TAC Cup"

he is playing for our us in the VFL this weekend....
