Didn't know that, thanks Elmer. Jumping at shadows I guess. Apparently the AFL are going to request Chad Fletcher's toxicology tests from his near-death experience as part of the WC probe, and the anarchist in me wants to see the AFL come unstuck after biting off more than it can chew.
L2R I'm interested in your last comment. Not having a crack at you but I think it is interesting. I think a lot of people seem to want to see the AFL come unstuck. Probably fair enough and I've been defending them a bit lately, god knows why!? But it seems to be a common thread it is always the AFL’s fault. Maybe there is just too much ill will towards the current admin?

It’s a bit like the old “bloody government” line. Of course they should be apportioned some blame were it is due but it ain’t always their fault, or solely their fault.

Once you are drug *smile*ed you are always drug *smile*ed.

Bit harsh on the people that do get off it (and there are some - but they are just as harsh anyway). But i do understand your hard-nosed thoughtless feelings ;D

It is a fair point you are trying to make L2r2r. I bet West Coast wish the AFL went to the same lengths for them as they are for the other Melbourne club, and the rest of the comp for that matter when it comes to supressing medical records.

Unfortuntely Goody I think it was a sign of how desperate people were to see success at the RFC, unfortunately most did not look at it objectively.

Some still can't it seems gus.

Ben Cousins is finished as a footballer, I just hope he's not finished.

It's no surprise that Cousins has "reoffended" or whatever the media would call it. Just because he has doesn't mean he is completely flouting the system or his "treatment" either. True addicts, if indeed that is what he is, will get up, then fall down again many times, and a few never fully stand on their own two feet again. Doesn't sound like his friends in LA were much help. He's got a ways a to go it seems. Good luck Benny. Always admired your footy.

I have always maintained he has far bigger problems than his football career. It's not a question of whether we pick him in the PSD if available, it's is all about the far more important question of a young man getting his life back on track and not ending up dead or in jail by the age of 35.

I understood its not the AFL but the WCE review which is likely to ask for the Chad Fletcher records. He would have the legal right to refuse, but counter to that as his employer the WCE have the right to dump him later on for whatever reason they come up with (team balance, want draft picks, new opportunities, Mars is in the 7th house...)

He still hasn't had any 'strikes'. ::)
But the systems working beautifully and if Andrew Johns was in our system he would have caught and we are all about rehabilitation and education and yes our Policy is ground breaking and we have got it right........ :blah :blah :blah :blah .....and very soon we's will control da vorld.......

The incident in Melbourne where he was supposedly found "inebriated" on the street in thw wee small hours....... was he actually tested for alcohol, or was it simply assumed he was pissed?

More recent events, as well as the Perth runner, raises the question of whether it was cocaine(or ice) then as well.
