Ok, so the underlying details of the charges are read out and made public when he first appears in court (maybe Thursday) ?

He'll probably plead not guilty, so on second thoughts, no we wont discover the specific drug that he is being charged with-I presume thats what you are alluding to.

I think we can be sure it wasn't a prescription drug he's been charged possesing though.The charge would've had a different title.

Yeah, probably. But as far as yesterday’s events are concerned, they seemed to make a bit of a meal of it by making him take his shirt off, bailing him up in the street for 2 hours etc. etc. That just seems to me that they might be trying to make an exhibition of him as much as they are actually dealing with him on anything hard core.

Despite arresting him, they’ve already released Chick without charges.

I just have this gut feel that the cops don’t have anything hard core to pin him with, and that really, they’re having a crack at him via exhibition and subsequent referred sources i.e the media, WCE, the AFL etc.

On third thought the magistrate will have to set bail and court date so maybe they do mention some specifics of the charge.

Could be true Redders... no doubt they want him bad. It does seem to have been badly managed.. although as you say it could be part of the "punishment".

Q1. How much does yesterday's saga relate to the recent fatality? Is that why fuzz have him under surveillance?

Q2. Why does Benny use pickup rather than home delivery service? Surely he's not trying to cut costs.

Q3. Is there any way he can shake off the addiction? If not, it is a bloody tragedy.

I still cannot believe how well he played first game back after supposedly drying out. It may be just me but when I watch these WC Eagle midfielders with their amazing strength, bursts of speed over short distances and endurance I get the same gut feeling as the day I watched Ben Johnson blow Carl Lewis away at the Olympics. Unreal... as in not real :eek:

Good point ToO. But what he might have consumed, and what he might have in his system, might be something completely different to what he had in his possession.

If I'd been taking serious drugs but only had a joint on my possession, I'd be avoiding the drug test too.

That's the thing though, there was something in his system that he didn't want found out.
Refusing a test leaves him wide open to speculation.
That's what will stuff him in this instance.

Some eagles have been substancing for a while and they should be stripped of the 2006 flag. There is no doubt these substances give you an energy and an adrenaline boost. Just like Marion Jones' teamates have to give up their gold medals, the entire team should give back their premiership medals. But this would be too negative for the AFL and it would never happen.

Yeah, but I'm only talking about what the cops can do him for. On that front, I'm suspecting (could be very wrong) that they dont have a lot.
