I wish Benny all the best. I get the feeling we will not hear the end of Benny and his overdoses and sessions.

The club made the right choice based on footballing needs and Benny decided that he didn't want to go around.

Of course Hardwick will praise Cousins in any way possible when he's "retiring".
Seems to me he was pushed, rumours around Hardwick wanted all the 30+ players gone last year and now he's achieved it.
I think he was cut but given the opportunity to retire given his standing in the game. He stated numerous times he wanted to play again and sounded adamant about it. Why the sudden turn around? A. There was no turn around.
In the end it doesn't really matter though.
Big loss the Cuz. Loved to have seen him run around with potentially a fully fit Chimp, Foley & Martin next season. At last a modicum of cut, run & intelligence.
People reckon Mal Brown was brought up & remembered a lot of his what 14 games with RFC. Wait til 20 years time when people look back on Cuz's 30.
& how good was his presser. Top shelf. Not many can speak & have everyone out of palm of your hand like Ben. The Cuz has that ability better than anyone leysy's heard. Only imagine what it is like to play on the same sporting team. Though Browny gave a small insight.
Certainly not clear cut that club didnt want him to play on, why tell him to go away last week & make sure thats what he wants for a week & run the risk of him changing his mind.
Be a prick of a move to then tell Cuz your chopped if he did.
Hardwick also bringing up the point that Cuz started last weeks talk by saying what was best for RFC in his eyes was for him to hang them up. Thats why he'll always be welcome through these doors.
