Must get another year, I would go as far to say its stupid not to get him on the park next year. Brings other players into the game, cant have too many of those.
The thing is - he forces our young players to move into smarter positions with his clever handballs. This is more valuable than if he does it all himself. However today that wasn't an issue - 16 kicks, 10 handballs, 26 possies + 2 goals.

he makes them move and take posession with momentum. there was one passage where newman was stationary behind cousins waiting for a handpass but cuz delayed it untill newman got on his bike and ran past.
always thought cousins was a good player at west coast but having watched him closely over the past 2 years, I see how much of a genius he is. even at his age. very intelligent and hard working player with his running and link up play. can just imagine him in his prime at the eagles linking up with judd and kerr.
must stay on. his bidy is right. still outruns everyone else on our list.

Cousins' lead up work, taking possession , giving off by hand , pushing hard to space to get the handball receive and then giving to Hicks who himself had been freed up by Cuzs' hard running resulted in Jack,s goal . Quick transition and a great positional kick by Hicks . Shows what hard running and footy smarts can achieve
Surely he has to get another year. Dont like the fact March came out and said will know before end of season, you would think if he was getting the sars they would announce it so he gets a farewell game.......again March should :shhh

I think over the past several weeks many of these attempted handballs have actually cost momentum.
Interesting to hear the coaching staff's recent takes on Ben's handballing. Don't think that they have been as impressed as many here.
Been a clear directive for him to kick the ball more no doubt. Even in Hardwick's presser from the weekend he made mention of it.
