Re: Ben Cousins Returns to Footy

Let's hope Wallace & Miller don't get brainwashed by this bloke's ability.

He's 30+ & still not 100% clear of his drug problems.

Don't let him take over a midfield spot from one of our kids.

Re: Ben Cousins Returns to Footy

I can't understand why you have such a lack of confidence in Wallace and Miller when comes to recruiting mature players ? Gee.

I still think he will want to play but there is some doubt.

Interesting. Obviously didn't see the interview but that was the word I got when he was up here in Thailand from some boys who'd been drinking with him.
It'll be a big change of lifestyle from when he played previously.

Re: Ben Cousins Returns to Footy

i for one hope we snag him ...cousins is a far better footballer than judd.judd wont be able too play at bennys age ,and as for hurting the "BRAND" if i hear that claptrap *smile* word again i will fair dinkum vomit :vomit2

Re: Ben Cousins Returns to Footy

Geez some of you can read things into nothing. Cousins has never been the most confident talker going around, Always has that laid back attitude. How you can decipher that maybe he doesn't want to play footy after that interview is beyond me. Interpol is looking for some good detectives. I think we have some budding stars on PRE.

Don't think the uncertainty is about whether or not he wishes to play AFL again, i get a sense the uncertainty is based around self confidence of being able to refrain from the good stuff.

Exactly, thats why he cant give a cast iron guarantee to anyone if he donsent know himself
How can he know? Any club that takes him and the afl must realise this. Buy as is.

Think he needs to promote better than that. Would you employ an addict that obviously still is? Hope not.

Re: Ben Cousins Returns to Footy

make no mistake we after him again...had it confirmed last night by the same guy that tipped it to me last October.

With Sugar stepping down at the end of the year...Cousins is the man to show the likes of Foley, Cotchin, Deledio, Tambling, Tuck and White how to become a champion onballer.

I reckon your "Guy" is full of it.
Sugar indicated his desire to play on for another 2yrs in a half time interview on Foxtel.

he did give 2 provisos though Rosy so he was spot on ...we shall see...I have my fingers crossed...he would be awesome showing the talented crop of kids we have the way...

Re: Ben Cousins Returns to Footy

he certainly would. These young kids need to learn which dollar notes are the best to substitute as straws in which occasions. No point using a $100 when a $5 will do.

All I will say is it's a good thing that wasn't his job interview.
Not convinced he's past his problems at all.
