World Cup 2018

The diving by hernandez was a discrace
Not just once should of been red carded

Pretty unlucky with that, but a 2-1 isn't a bad result.

Whats the knock on Arzani? I know he's young, is it his fitness? He had a couple of really nice touches in the 10 minutes he was on, something I think was missing before that. I think Kruse played 80- minutes just running around covering space.

They need to attack more against Peru and Denmark, but that was encouraging. Enough to suggest they could win at least 1 of those games and then it can come down to goal difference.

Probably rested for the Denmark game.

Mooy and Sainsbury had good games. Surprised we took Rogic off so early. Arzani should have come on earlier.

Wasn't a penalty. Risdon got a piece of the ball.

Ball didn’t seem to move off the line it was travellIng, it kept running straight towards Ryan. As Lucas Neill knows, you slide in the box and you’ve got an 80% chance of giving away a penalty. Professionals at that level know the odds.

Any wonder the French ran away in the Second World War.What a bunch of soft pathetic divers they are. They go down quicker than a 2 dollar hooker.

Well done to our boys on a solid effort.

Just did a slo-mo and Risdon's foot didn't even touch Greaseman's foot!! There you go. Socceroos all pissed off. Video review, called half an hour later, was a disgrace.

Looked like his trailing leg took Griezmanns trailing leg. Definitely didn't touch him in the start of the tackle, but seemed that Griezmanns trailing leg was caught under Risdons.

Decision seems to have been made in 10 seconds.

I thought that too. Seem to make the decision very quickly - not sure how they were so definitive.

Not a violent person, but 21 for France deserves a good smacking.

Not sure we ever played that well under Ange, coach has done a fantastic job. Pity he is not staying on.

Yeah, that’s how’s I saw it, it was the contact at the end of the tackle. Sure as *smile* if it was outside the box he wouldn’t have gone down.

Seems pretty easy for the attacker to make sure one of his legs gets caught up somewhere. If the defender gets to the ball first, is it still a penalty?

Agree jimbob. The boys look more solid under Bert. Let's hope Arnold doesn't do a Robert Walls on us.

Reckon if his touch wasn't so heavy he keeps his feet.

At least Ummmm titties decided to level the penalty ledger.

Re the French penalty, the VAR wouldn't have bothered to get involved if such an incident occurred at the other end of the field. Griezman lucky not to be carded for simulation.

No matter, team can take plenty from today & look forward to getting something from the next 2 games. Nice if the French click into gear & batter the Danes & Peruvians.

That’s why sliding in the box is a very risky thing to do. Always has been.

Had he clearly taken the ball first then it shouldn’t be a penalty.
