This is my thinking. I've done a ladder predictor and have us finishing 10th. So we have picks 9, 17 (I have Geelong losing the GF again), 28, 29, 41 and 46.

Trade CJ, Pick 9 and Pick 28 to Gold Coast for Picks 3 and 19.
Trade 17 and 19 to Freo for Cerra and a 2022 3rd
Trade 29 and 41 to the Dogs for Pick 18.

We trade out CJ and bring in Cerra and then take Picks 3, 18 and 46 to the draft.
This would be a great outcome and reasons even. Do Gold Coast owe Us a favour for Ellis and markov?

CCJ aint the Lynch replacement. He'll never have the athleticism to consistently play key forward.

Understand he doesn't look like it now, but if we keep him you know who he replaces - Nank.

In four years though. Can we hold him til then?

On Chol - Suspect we won't have a choice. Someone will offer $$ we simply can't match under our cap nor payment system.

Keep Chol. Send Coleman-Jones to GWS for Tom Green.
I prefer CJ more than Cholly but would definitely accept this trade if it happens. We definitely need a midfield bull who gets it 35 times consistently with elite use.

I don't think it will matter what we think as Chol would have to be 99% gone IMO, as he can basically double his pay elsewhere and who could blame him.

Being a free agent also would have made it easier to have agreed to terms already with another team through Ralph Malph.

Chol’s inconsistency being another team’s frustration wouldn’t necessarily be the worst outcome.

Does anybody know with 100 percent certainty like put your house on it,if chol is no compo to us or is.

Best to think of Chol as a small like Rioli.

We currently only have one young player who can compete in the air up forward (CJ).

Outside of the box thinking. Get another ruckman, move Nank into the fwd line changing ruck. Chol can go if he chooses or CcJ for the trade but must keep 1 of the two . Hopefully Soldo will be ok by next year with, Biggy or Mate to develop as 2nd and 3rd ruck.

It's the AFL. Mab's could finish top 5 in the B & F, leave for $500K per year for 5 years, to Kangaroos, and we'd get sweet *smile* all in compensation.
