Welcome Tom Brown

Not only a great user but he wins it back. Had the most intercept possessions in the game, including his standard one he had no right to (but made look easy).

Has a massive amount of composure. The intercept you were talking about is all composure, to be able to collect the ball he maybe shouldn't have been able to do, assess the situation and ensure we retained possession with the disposal was elite.

I've been a big fan since the 1st game he came in and played. Sometimes you see a player come in from their 1st game, and go, yep, this boys going to be good.

He’s still got a bit to work on - only a pup - but geez couldn’t believe the knocks on him by so many. Obvious class from waaay back.

Agree, he needs to tighten up a little defensively and I'd love to see him getting a bit more involved with handball receives. I'd like to see most games, him getting up to close to 10 UP's coming out of defence, as it then brings his kicking more into play offensively for us coming out of the backline. Averages 8.6 UP's, I think those distributors out of the backline will usually be above 10, some closer to 15. Thats the upside we'd get from him, use that beautiful kick more to our advantage, he's not afraid from taking the aggressive kick either, which is great to see.

Will improve with being match hardened and improved endurance. I still reckon the club needs to utilise his skills more/doing kick ins. It's hard to get a kick with a defence of Short, Rioli, & Vlastuin though. I'm sure if one or two of those were out at any time he would be given more responsibility and be used more often.

There was a piece of play on the outer side in the 3rd quarter where he just didn’t have the legs under him to chase and pressure. He was utterly gassed. Baker did - he’s AFL “mature”. But Brown just died on the spot.

He’s improved a lot aerobically but it’s that part of his game that still has a ways to go. Defensive and offensive running, all game long like Houli and co could do. When he gets that, he’s going to be a superstar. Just watch.

He did it on the bit at the Bushrangers just cruising in the backline, delivering with uncontested ease. Now that he’s got to work his arse into he ground it’s a different story.

But he’s getting it. You can see. Barring injury it’s gonna be a great ride.

That and keep developing his ground ball game. Reckon that can come on as well.

But as someone who sat on the fence on him, he can 100% be a weapon for us.

A few mis-kicks straight to the opposition but some of his kicks and handball were close to perfection. Another whose game is improving game on game and his vision is beyond his experience . A real find for us!

Composed, laconic, skilled, barely a handful of games under the belt and playing in a back half that's often under siege. Got lots of growing yet to do, but we got us a player here.

Yep. It happened last week against Geelong as well when he went to ground exhausted at one point late in the game.

Imagine that we'd skipped him in the draft, like many have suggested we should've at the time and since.

There's no doubt we would now be mentioning him in the same sentence as other gun Swans youngsters - "Why can't we draft blokes who use it so well like Gulden, Brown, Warner, Campbell etc" - and would've already played in a grand final.

Lovely kick of the football reminds me of watching Leon Cameron and Joel Bowden with his pin point passes

You can see him growing in confidence, some good intercept play and looked comfortable when under pressure.

Love watching him play. Unfortunately I had to defend him last night from someone bagging him incessantly over and over again everytime he went near the ball. Some just make their minds up and stick to it with bias no matter what really happens.

Brown is 100% a permanent future fixture. 11 games in he has progressed wonderfully and I look forward to seeing him grow further and build on his experience and strength.

Wow.
If he can tighten up defensively at the starting point, and improve his aerobic capacity, can be something special.
The composure and ability to choose the right option is off the charts.
