So life as usual then?Huh?
Im proper confused on a few levels
The way I "work" here is not to look at who's posting stuff but to try read the words and respond. I don't want folks to think I'm picking out a person and targetting them for response. So no, I wouldn't have foggiest how many whipping boys you've defended. I don't think it'd be practical to remember that for the couple hundred posters who come here.I dont really understand?
Why would i be joyful if hes not up to it?
Do you realise how many whipping boys ive defended on here for their entire careers? I couldnt count em all on all my fingers and toes if my mum had been a gieger counterer in chernobyl.
Are you new?
Why are people so precious on here at times? An opinion on a player is not allowed? You're very welcome.
I love the people declaring players a bust after a pre-season game, in a rush to be the first.
I eagerly await the joy and excitement you'll show with every game the kid tries to learn how to adapt to an AFL level but doesn't meet your kpi levels
Going to be amazing watching the level of support Tom will get over the next 2 years of his contract.
Put me down for Hampson! In fact not many on here ever celebrate a players delisting (other than McGuane/McMahon in my case).
Of course people are going to have opinions, but if you do then you can fairly expect your comments to be critiqued as well. Got nothing to do with being precious, it just seems a bit strange to be critical of a player with just one AFL game who of course has a lot to learn. Why are people so precious on here at times? eZt has rarely bagged players, he's defended many of the most bagged - pickett, kmac etc - and been around for ages.
He's stated a number of arguments supporting his opinion. He noted he hoped he was wrong. He's never shown joy or excitement over a players "failure" that I can recall. In fact not many on here ever celebrate a players delisting (other than McGuane/McMahon in my case).
It's Ok for someone to have a strong opinion isn't it? And if they are wrong, hopefully it gets noted.
I actually find this hilarious. The way I "work" here is not to look at who's posting stuff but to try read the words and respond. Obviously there's some folks like Zips and Dyer'ere who have a very distinctive style when they write, so it's hard to make them blend into the noise of PRE, but it's an attempt to try avoid personal arguments. (yes, I'm weirdo. A delightfully funny one too!)
Why is it "strange"? What does that mean? Everyone loves trying to identify future stars etc, as well as offering opinions on where they think recruiters have got it wrong. Brown is a first rounder. They are more heavily "scrutinsed": by the masses. Why is it strange? Why can't a poster do it, especially when they are well balanced in their critique? Why does it upset you?Of course people are going to have opinions, but if you do then you can fairly expect your comments to be critiqued as well. It is strange because usually you have a bit more information to go on before criticising players. Maybe I am strange because I like to support first, bag second but others like it the other way around. I am sorry my opinion upsets you, but as a supporter I will keep backing in the young blokes, if you don’t like that I am sorry. Why is it "strange"? What does that mean? Just bookmark it and bring it up in a few seasons when Brown hits game 60 after coming third in the rising star.
You being precious does not "upset" me. Your opinion doesn't upset me. PRE is a great site, super informative and provides a vast array of opinions. It's really only deliberate trolling that "upsets" me.It is strange because usually you have a bit more information to go on before criticising players. I remember the good old days when players were given 50 Games at the top level before people wrote them off, obviously the experts in PRE need much less these days.Yeah,
What are you spose to say James Tsitas will win the brownlow for sure?
Because he pulls on boots and someone worked with his uncle once?
Is it only richmond players i cant critique?
Are AFL games the only acceptable form guide?
And when they are delisted? 'Oh RCD is really burning it up at tintinda south, hes a GUN'
Retrospectively? 'I always said aaron fiora was better than Pav'
I'll say daicos *smile* himself or ashcroft ducks,
But i wont say 'theyre a useless peice of *smile*'
(*Different rules apply to Geelong)
Ill say 'magnificent footballer, but i wish he wouldnt duck'
I know how hard them and their family have worked to get there,
I know how hard 100 kids worked who are better than alot of them, who didnt get there too.
ill continue to constructively critique players and their position at my club.
No worries blokes who dont want to read it.
I love positivity and contrarianism.
I might be the only one in here who really misses TBR?
Yay
TBR wasn’t a contrarian.Yeah,

I will keep having my say and continue to back the young blokes in you can do what you wantYou being precious does not "upset" me. Your opinion doesn't upset me. PRE is a great site, super informative and provides a vast array of opinions. It's really only deliberate trolling that "upsets" me.
What you are ignoring is many posters have loads of info on juniors. Many watch juniors. Many know their games pretty intimately. In this case the opinion was based on lots of exposed junior form. I am sure most hope all players drafted become stars, unfortunately that never happens.
It's not a case of not wanting players to succeed.
I will keep having my say and continue to back the young blokes in you can do what you want
No, I do too.I might be the only one in here who really misses TBR?

As supporters aren’t we supposed to support?? I must have it wrong. I am happy for people to criticise players as long as they respect my rights and others to defend them. Of course a lot of young blokes won’t make it but I will support them until they don’t. I can see weaknesses in Browns game as well but I choose not to go on a public forum and whack him. I will leave that to opposition supporters. That’s my last word on the matter, I have better things to do. Go Tigers !Was that back when we took Lounder?
1. The vast majority of player drafted dont play 50 games
2. Im not writing anyone off. Tom could win the brownlow. I just dont reckon hes good enough, and in year 3, the match committee agree.
Its great that you back him. I wish i did too.
Its way way more fun
