He was talking about Dusty retiring while under contract and then unretiring to go to the Gold Coast. I think he meant during the period of his contract as a means of breaking his contract the sneaky way.I noticed Jonathan Brown on On The Couch say AFL rules now state a retired player cannot return to the league again. Is this true?

Yep with his wife, not that that is any of my business.isn't that what Dimma did?
Sorry wasn't talking about your post.No abuse in my post.
Tell me was the abuse you’re referring to, was it at the game he was abused by supporters? Or did you see and hear supporters walk up to him and abuse him? Or was it on a Richmond supporter site?
Yes. Too many focussed on his flaws rather than the incredible role he performed for the team. Heartbeat player. Letting Butts go was also a mistake.Too late .
Hardwick told him ' Your not in my best 22 anymore' and after 3 flags why stay and rot in the 2's.
We gave and lost players between 17-22 that would still have us in the top 8
George's work without the ball has never been matched and I don't see anyone at the club currently who could do it.
George was the genuis one who put 'manic' into the game planThe thing that saved George was the move forward.
I remember watching him in his early days playing off a back flank in the vfl. He was like a crazy unbroken colt running around in circles, turning the ball over and having the odd burst of terrific play. When he moved forward his ballistic nature had less negative consequences and added to an unpredictability in the forward line and he was much better overhead when he could fly for marks rather than defend.
Whoever decided that move saved his career imo.
The chaos factor in our chaos footy game plan, no-one had any idea what the hell he was gunna get up to, not even Georgie. But it was a riveting watch.George was the genuis one who put 'manic' into the game plan
Must have been LeppaCella. The thing that saved George was the move forward.

Not sure on Georgie being a “genius”. It was more 100 mph headless chook, zig zag zip, turn, stop, 100mph run, zig! Slow pause, 100mph, zoooom. Oppo woul be mesmerised, teammates laughing and mesmerised, coaches laughing, scratching their heads , mesmerised and just letting him gooooo!George was the genuis one who put 'manic' into the game plan
Ugh, 'Chaos' the was the owrd i was looking for.The chaos factor in our chaos footy game plan, no-one had any idea what the hell he was gunna get up to, not even Georgie. But it was a riveting watch.
Chaos, mayhem, pandemonium, turmoil, tumult.Ugh, 'Chaos' the was the owrd i was looking for.
Nup. Never missed when we really needed it. Go back to all the finals seriues, he kicked them when we needed them.Missed plenty of them. You must have been drunk watching him if you think he never missed a clutch goal. Or just taking the *smile*. No doubt he was a great bloke and loved by his teammates.
127.106Well thank goodness he got the clutch goals coz he missed plenty of others.
Come on mate, let’s not rewrite history. George was a terrible finisher. He kicked more ripper snaps when he didn’t have to think about a set shot. He’s no different to Bolton now who misses plenty he should kick.
Luckily for us, none of his 5 points in the 2019 were “clutch” kicks. Even when gws were a goal in front in the first qtr.
But as I said his effort and work rate were elite. Kicking, especially for goal and hand balling were poor. It’s not downplaying his skills, it’s what they were.
134 games.
127 goals. 106 points. An average of 0.9 goals0.8 points a game. So nearly 50/50 less OOBs and those that fell short, mis kicked sideways or whatever.
That’s not a “clutch goal kicker”
No stats on the kicks that went OOB or fell short
Too many conveniently forget that Jason was team player, never gave up in a chase and worked his socks off all game, something a number of our current team are adverse at. I enjoyed his game, his unpredictability and the tension when he was goal kicking. On that subject he really chose his times to kick important goalsYes. Too many focussed on his flaws rather than the incredible role he performed for the team. Heartbeat player. Letting Butts go was also a mistake.
They would both be making a difference now.
More to do with taking umbrage at the ignorance of those who couldn't see how imprtant he was.But the funny thing is , those who take umbrage at posters critiquing him or his poor skills, are doing the same thing to current players now. Hypocrites.
Including those that never made the distance or went sideways Pythagoras.you really need to read to the end of the sentence. And it was on average goals and average points. Maybe you need to learn to read and then do maths.127.106
50/50?
Where did you learn maths?
Anyway, George will always hold a very special place in my and many other tiger fans hearts.
