Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

Still a bit erratic but that will improve with experience at the top level. Works hard, not scared of a hit, uses the ball OK and has boundless energy. A lot to like

Busting his balls, contributing to the new forward line , like others have said just needs a bit more polish, keep playing him let him learn on the job, his composure will improve with confidence

Thought he played well. He does lack a bit of composure but some of that will come with experience, he's still only played 8 games. Is a very important part of our forward line and the forward press that has been working so well for us. Tackling in the F50 is a bit part of what we are trying to do and thats exactly what he brings to the team. Pace and tackling pressure.

Can't watch him anymore. Runs around like a headless chook. The kick into the man in the mark was the sealer for me.

I think George has a lot of upside but he needs more exposure. He's not quite ready. He'll go apeshit by the end of the year.

His brain is fast-twitch. It'll take time at the level. And he's great for a foil for Butts or the Prince. Or even Dusty. Dynamic. Mercurial.

What some people fail to understand is that football today is more about playing a role within the team, rather than individual acts of brilliance. Castagna's role is to provide forward pressure, to run his opponent off his feet and to find space when he can. If that means running around like a 'headless chook' so be it! I thought he did this quite well yesterday. Sure he's going to make mistakes, all players do. But hey he's played less than 10 senior games!

Don't get the hate for Castagna. Having a great impact for someone that's only played a handful of games.

Polish and poise will come. Happy enough with the effort and impact he's having.

No left foot to save himself. He is going ok but for us to continue to get better needs to be moved on as soon as we can.

Yeah the young 20 year old who less than games 10 in, who's cemented himself as best 22 and playing well needs to be moved on.

Some people have no idea. :hihi

Agree with that Jack, imagine havin a beer with him, he'd be knocking down jugs compared to our glasses

We'd probably keep up, CC. :help

Does he have a left foot?
Could we do better?
Yes he is playing a role but can we do better?

Silly criticism, he is an important part of our improved fwd line. Does Treloar have a left foot? So the pies should move him on? No we probably would not do better and there are many players we would consider moving on before him. Great to see his improvement.

Yep.
Just loving the chaos, pace, pressure n brilliance these youngsters are bringing to our forward half each week.

Daniel, George n Butler, not a bad little threesome n between them they're ensuring there's plenty of tripods in the crowd on match day.
