George is fast, strong, agile, unselfish, aerial and coachable.

If the coaches value defensive/offensive flexibility, and given our game plan hinges on forward turnovers, I would be surprised if George wasn’t one of the first picked.

He wouldn't be in the top ten.

If JC made all his eff ups by hand and wonky shots and weird decisions AND never got his 1.2 a game and highlight reel snap once a month and insane relentless tackling and occasional multiple bag....then, sure, he wouldn't be a regular in a premiership side. But he is.

And if he can sort his handballing out (its atrocious), he has the potential to lead the league in goal assists. I like the boy.

If he can sort his goal kicking accuracy out he will kick 35-40 this year
He kicked 26.20 (and several other non scoring attempts) which is 56%.

He could’ve easily turned at least 10 of those 20 behinds and non scoring attempts into goals.

I can name 22 blokes that would be in the first picked!
When all players are fit, most coaches don't have a problem picking their first 18 players, after that it's a little bit of fudging form, fitness and needs for team balance.

Fans trying to claim a specific player is among the first picked is a furphy, with most of the side. If the player is fit, it's automatic selection for the most part.

His value is in the chaos he brings. He makes it very difficult for the opposition to get the ball out of our F50, which is fundamental to our game plan. If he can tidy up his composure he’ll be a bonofide star.

He might not be in the top 10, but that manic pressure he puts on would have him close to a guarantee to get a game.
He fumbles, he drops fairly easy marks, but his pressure acts gets us 5-6-7 goals a game.

I thought Georgie was good tonight. And no clangers!
Hopefully that's the baseline George game.

More George less Cantstandya

provided enough fwd 50 pressure for him and Drioli.

15 disposals is huge for George.

Him and Geezer both look to have bettered to me.
