Hopefully they draw most of their sporting talent from their mother.

:hihi

I'd be happy with the talent from Vickey and drive from Rodionova. Vickery was supremely talented, just didn't have the drive.

Sorry, yes agreed. I should have worded it, "most of their sporting prowess" ;)

Interested to hear your thoughts bullus?
Of course, glass is half full at this stage but I bow to your superior knowledge of these kids

The risk with Riley is getting is fitness levels up to play 100 minutes in the midfield, skills wise he's still learning the caper but has shown enough improvement for me in the latter part of the season. State carnival was solid but TAC finals were outstanding & RCD lifted as the intensity rose, these are always good signs. Richmond probably the best club for Riley to have landed at, we're professional, we won't rush him, our strength & conditioning team is the best in the competition (and our injury record backs that up). Probably need to wait a couple of years but the rewards could be huge. Patrick Cripps similar athletic profile, took 1 year before playing seniors, second year solid, 3rd year A grade.

We picked a kid that has a lot of upside. I'm confident he will be a contributor and solid player for us.
I wasn't confident when we picked Vickery a head of Zielbel. I was even more devastated when we picked little Ellis.
CD reminds me of a young Fyfe.

I see him more in that Oliver mould, tends to handball more than kick but uses his height & raises the shoulders so is very hard to tackle. Then there's the three step burst, very impressive acceleration. Forward work probably more at Oliver's level, not in the Fyfe/Curnow/Bont class, but that could/should improve over time.

And a really exciting thing is his physical immaturity at this stage.

Huge upside as he reaches the point where he can add muscle to his good-sized frame, the shoulders have a good width to them and I reckon he will fill out very well.

I think his nickname could be "Arcy" short for RCD

Welcome to the Tigers Riley "Arcy" ;)

That's the one I was thinking about, but shortened to Arce....or Arse/Ass.

With so much late growth and still growing I wonder if the club will take the slowly slowly approach with him? I’d hate for him to get soft tissue injuries that will take forever to get over , I think it’s highly probable the club will take a similar approach as they did with CCJ this year. What an exciting prospect a 6/4 midfield beast with pace is

glad he drifted to 20 and we got him. spoke well, solid character.

And we don't need to run him into the ground like Carlton has (along with anyone else decent on the miserable list)

Thought he interviewed really well - impressive young fella!

They say he’s big bodied but I thought he looked pretty skinny.
Still a fair bit of physical development needed to be done.

Look forward to watching his progress. :clap

I'm very stoked that Hyphen fell to us.

Damaging player.

Improved over the course of the season as he started to adjust to his physical advantages.

Plays well when he's angry.

Loves to bash and crash and then accelerate out of a stoppage.

Looks the opposite player to C Ellis so I'm a fan. His highlights video shows that acceleration into and out of the contest. Massive upside.

I'm confused. I've seen 10 different articles about him tonight, including RFC official website ( 190cm ) where his height is ranging from 190 - 194cm. How tall is he?

I think you'll find the first measurement was taken 3 weeks earlier.

By the time they print the footy record for round 1, he'll make Mason Cox look like Robbie Nahas.

Pretty funny you picked Mason Cox and Robbie Nahas for your example... ;D
