Welcome to Tiger land Riley Collier’Dawkins

I had a read of Cripps' draft profile and one of his specific standout AFL-potential qualities was his running and link up work. This seems to be the knock on RCD, yes?

Early last season I was thinking he had very poor footy nous and was a probable delisting after contract was up, now with a second pre season under his belt and the improvement he showed in the second half of the season, his now my Smokey to debut , bit of a unique footballer , I actually see a bit of D Grimes about him

Miller is being groomed to be our next defensive key defensive Gorilla tamer when time comes to replace Tross and Dave.

Don’t know if he played on a lot of Gorillas types this year craigo, however I think thats the way he’ll probally head, just has a few characteristics like Grimes

Its brutal repeat 20?m sprints with direction change(up and back) at increasing speed.

Im not sure, but someone suggested the number of each level corresponds to km/hr. So if you get a 21, you are repeat sprinting at 21km/hr with about a 5 second rest between repeats.

By the time you get to 21 (where 17 year olds hoping to be drafted need to be), i reckon youde have done about 50 sprints with a 5 second rest between each.

Theres a beep to start the sprint after the rest period, and if you dont get over the 20m line before the next beep, corresponding to the ever increasing speed, your out! And that number is your score.

Kind of like shuttle runs at footy training in the old days but more brutal cause instead of going slower and slower, you go faster and faster.

My lad tumbled over and missed the 16.4 beep, but Rainsy knows he plays like shane edwards and inducted him anyway ;D

Having said that, endurance is his weakness.

Cheers easy. Sounds like I won't be doing one any time soon. :vomit

Yes, I'd almost forgotten about him. Not because I haven't noticed or watched him (on Televised games mostly) with interest. Just because of thinking he probably has a fair way to go yet. However, if he can make it along with Garth, these two can be their replacements.

The great news is that this frees Balta (and CMoore) for other roaming roles forward or midfield. Both could even have a run on a wing for instance.

Someone should organise a yo-yo contest for willing PRE participants at the London before a game next year.

From memory, the walk to the amenities is quite a long one. All we would have to do is count the number of trips to the bathroom. A yo-yo of 20, for example, means 20 trips.

Easy.

Those with colostomy bags have an unfair advantage!

Putting the beer up (drink) & down (on the bar) with increasing speed? Not sure many would see the game ;)

Interestingly Collier-Dawkins comes from the surnames of his two mothers...one's surname is Collier and the other Dawkins. Nice for him to share both and I guess creates a new family tradition for his own kids to have the hyphenated name.

Not if his partner wants to keep their surname too. Collier-Dawkins-...Just imagine if he meets someone with another hyphen who wants to keep their hyphenated name. ;D

It's become a bit of a trend even for many men and women who marry to then take up a hyphenated combined surname. Just going to be a nightmare as you say when the next generation wants to do the same with their already hyphenated names.

So if he ends up marrying Sam Petrevski-Seton's sister and she wants to keep that name, their child will be Jack Collier-Dawkins-Petrevski-Seton....you're right it becomes farcical and will never be enough space on forms to complete your name

We have a three banger at our junior football club. That is, one hyphenated surname hyphenated with a singular surname.
