Welcome to the Tiggers - Daniel Butler

Maybe Dan could reinvent himself as a wingman & compete with Menadue for Brandos spot.

I don't think he can play that role. Is the worst player on the list with the ball over his head. Will be a liability on a wing. He's a small; forward and unfortunately for Dan, he doesn't have the versatility to play another role.

Yep, there’s an opening there for Oleg or Connor or Daniel or Patrick or ......

Don't like his chances of getting a game in 2020. Graham, Rance and Stack are in the wings and maybe only Brando to leave from the Premiership team. Baker and Bolton have gone past him.
Agree and also that this is his best chance to find a new home. If he is serious about his future however it may be the wrong call to wait for a call to confirm Carlton’s interest.
They want Martin, Papley, Betts etc and if they resume interest in Butler it is going to be late and an offer of chook feed.
Suggest Melbourne,, Sydney, Hawthorn and if Elliot goes possibly Collingwood, are much more likely to be genuine in their interest, and importantly all bar Collingwood have early second rounders available as compensation.

Hawks want Papley from the swans.
If they can’t get him reckon they’lol take Butler.

Was reported earlier today that Hawks are having a sniff around Butler. Their future 3rd would work I reckon.

Don’t discount Butts Hawthorn look certainties to finish in the 8 next year. A future 2nd for our future 3rd is the least Rich should consider

Hawks need to replace Poppy.

Tigers have moved away from the 2017 game plan, the rest better realise that's old news.

We had an extra ruck and an extra genuine Key Tall Forward as opposed to 1 ruck, 1 tall forward 2,mid forwards and 3 smalls, but it seems lost on the rest the Tigers have changed gears this season, and with the introduction of Rance Pickett and Stack into the first 22 next season things will get tweaked once again.

We are also a better skilled side with personnel changes.

Hence Stack, Bolton, and Pickett and Baker are playing ahead of the likes of Grover, Towner and Butler, and why Caddy had to go back and re calibrate into another role where his field kicking and ball winning ability in one on one marking contests could be better utilised now Tommy had moved him out of the forward 50.

The defence is stable, the sheer versatility and stopping abilities of Grimes, Tigga and Broad ensures they all remain to reform that famous 2017 - wall of 5 with Trossman and Dave, complimented by the run from Houli and Short, and possibly Stack unless he goes up the ground.

What will be interesting for me next year is the ruck situation with CCJ moving on up towards the frame as well as Soldo and Nank, not even counting Noah and Cholly.

Just get what we can get for Butler. Can't see him cracking back into the Tiger squad and I'm sure he'd prefer to play at AFL level somewhere than languish in the 2nds on minimum pay.

Swans should be keen as Papley is leaving them.
Lots of potential suitors.
But he wants to stay, so unless Tigers get a good trade deal then he probably will

I have been wrestling with our new found ruck depth as well

Nankervis. Has been influential in our success but the elite rucks have his measure
Soldo. His development has been amazing
Chol. Same as above and is a viable cheap back up ruck
Balta. Huge talent but is he a ruck
CCJ. Could be that elite ruckman. Needs senior games next year.

Do we trade Nankervis out to give CCJ some opportunity as support to soldo. But Nankervis is possibly a heart and soul player of the club.

I’d take anything at all for him, however been a Premiership player you would think he’d have to worth a pick around 50, extremely limited footballer imho and has no future at punt Rd , I wish him the best of luck where ever he ends up.

So at this stage it looks like Ellis, Butler, Menadue and possibly Kmac out, that’s a lot of running power

Moore Markov Carthwaite and Miller should be looking for better opportunities
Rather keep menadue and get rid the rest.

Ellis pick 20
Bulter pick 55
McIntosh pick 40
We just won the flag and we could possibly have 6-7 new faces at the club..:clap1

Understand what you're saying but.....
Garthwaite is backup for both the key back spots and Miller is still developing.

Can see us taking 4 in the draft (up to pick 40ish) and maybe a player in trade if McIntosh does go.

Grigg
Ellis
Menadue?
Bulter?
McIntosh?
Moore?

Thats 6.

Bring up stack we have 5 picks available.
Knowing us we will keep a spot available for the preseason or mid year draft.

Good days ahead

Last night I watched the Freo game on the Fox Tigerthon, Connor was sensational, don't know why he could never cement a spot with us, will be elsewhere next year for no meaningful draft return.
PS. I am one of the very few that still like Connor.
