Welcome to the Tigers Nathan Broad

Naked Broad is one of the most versatile, reliable defenders in the league.

Love him

BTW I think we might have got a glimpse of one of Mr Damien Hardwick's sneaky September ploys - Broad loose.

He seemed to be on a wing for much of the night on the wireless.

a sort of a Vlastuin/KMac hybrid role.

I agree, I loved it.

Considering he trained today with the footys he’d have to be an outside chance to play next week.

I reckon we are backing out subs in, resting/training up injured players ready for finals and minimising chance of reinjiry just before finals. So if waiting a week has a material effect on the risk, they will wait.

If the ladder tightens up will be interesting if we stick to this.

agree. and broady, young jack and even concs were the kind needed freshening.

hope the Capt. gets a voluntary freshen

Broady was already back on the training track today doing heaps of running, surely he wouldn't have been doing that unless the swelling had gone down considerably?

Wont be out for too long, wont lose any fitness over the next week or two as he will do all the running and fitness training as well as skills training will just miss the contact stuff obviously.

Will give his body a freshen up as he had taken a beating some severe corks and back spasms over a 2 or 3 week period and had only worked his way to full fitness again in the last 2 games.

Having a fresh fit and ready to go Broad, Graham and possibly Reece in the frame for September and the run in will be a nice weapon for the Tigers as these 3 are contested grunt players which will be non negotiable in the lead in and into September.

From the first minute it was obvious that the defence was missing an important player in Broad. Last week I felt we could stop any attack but this week against a limited forward line we were shaky allnight

Losing three players (broad butler & graham) in a game is pretty vicious but I guess it gave opportunities to others.
Disappointing thing at this stage not one of the lads took there opportunity

I think Broad, Graham and Butlers absence impacts each line more then most give it credit

Agree two heavy pressure contested players and a finisher.

No doubt the RFC would've had the 4 points if these 3 played.

There is no galaxy in any universe that Corey Ellis is in any way shape or form an adequate replacement for Jack Graham and his grunt..

His nickname should be BP, the Quite Achiever. Important part of our back 6
Needs to heal up and get ready for the pointy end of season. McEvoy has a similar injury and will miss a month.

Just gives our backline great flexibility & enables Rance Vlaustin at times to roam loose. Without him they are more accountable
