It was both. Richo and Dusty had cheekbone fractures and played the next week. Im not sure if either had a plate put in though as this one is a depressed fracture it may be a little different.
The Richo incident I remember was when Andrew Krakouer accidentally kicked him in the face as Richo slid in for a mark against Port in Adelaide.AcKeR said:

Broady I would summise has also fractured his eye socket if he has had three plates inserted.
He probably had what is called a tripod fracture, which will have a lot of swelling around the eye and close it up, also some risk of bleeding within the eye or beneath.
Nathan will miss a few weeks with 3 plates its not just an isolated cheekbone.

Bad luck about the injury. It was great to see Broad let loose as plus one. His Ball Winning Ability was phenomenal. (We got a glimpse of that when he was tried in the middle and on a wing a few weeks back.) BWA. Whoa.
His ball use was under pressure as the spare and showed great improvement.
This bloke is nowhere near finished developing and is already one of the best defenders in the game. BWA and use set to bloom.
BTW I think we might have got a glimpse of one of Mr Damien Hardwick's sneaky September ploys - Broad loose.
