Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

Going well …apart from the occasional brain explosion…….and has the hunger for the contest. Love watching him play this season.

Was awesome in the first half. Maybe got distracted and dropped off a bit. Still a good story in 2022.

Waste of time as the football media had already handed down their verdict.

Well I don't listen to the football media or consume any of their content, so to me, the normal human common sense thing to do would be to challenge and overturn this weird decision.

It doesn't make any sense, so if the football world have convinced themselves of a story that isn't there, that's on them - but I know what I saw.

I thought the ball just dropped in the air to Butler's advantage leaving Marlion committed to the goal saving tackle but with the ball unreachable. Free every day of the week. Last week against Himmelberg he got hold of the ball (as well as Himmelberg :ninja:) , the goal was saved, and no free. Loved the running and the effort - no result but not particularly an issue - no tackle attempt = a goal anyway. Life.

Also staging? Seriously? When the fish goes in for a tackle their is no-one in any doubt that it is balls and all - let alone the poor bugger on the receiving end of the fish slappin'.

*smile* me. The ump should be fined for paying the 50. It's not bad enough we get reamed on the ground they then ream us off it.

Going by the vid.
Might be for the hit to Butlers throat and not the push.
If its for the push then geez alot of players will be out of pocket by years end.

I'm convinced there is bias against Marlion. An unconscious bias, but a bias. Numerous times he is cited and fined for things that other AFL darlings would not be, and also penalties tend to be a bit harsher. Umps also quick on the whistle to pay frees against, and opposition players are allowed to be a little bit sloppy, like late hits that aren't paid 50 that Danger would get every time.

If you're Tom Hawkins you have a green light to collapse a players oesophagus with a punch in the throat. But he is a white private school boy, Marlion isn't.
