Welcome to the Tigers Jacob Hopper

Fantastic. Doesn't say what the late picks coming back are, and also says that 'a financial element' is part of the deal. Wonder what that is? A brown paper bag? We pay one of their players?

Geez, hard not to get excited.

Our midfield has gone from our biggest weakness to arguably our greatest strength in a single trade period.

Taranto, Hopper, Prestia, Martin, Bolton, Cotchin, Short, Baker, Ross and Sonsie to all roll through the middle, relentlessly terrorizing opposition midfields.

Fantastic deal. Well done Blair. I reckon F1 and 31 was a fair price but to get late picks back is a real bonus.

Happy to keep Soldo. Thought if he was included we would have been paying too much. That said I would have lived with it as Hopper and Taranto are exactly what we need and sometimes you have got to pay the piper. But to do the deal as it is reported is a fantastic result.

Brilliant work Blair. It's great to keep Soldo not only as a backup ruck but also a very popular team man. He lives with Meatball and you never know the effect it could have had on team morale if he was forced to go to the Giants.

He's a bit porky, might not get off the ground.

Oh he won't be required to jump.

I also like that he was also listed as 2023 for Richmond already, with 0 games.

Also just catching up on the news...great work Blair Hartley, I did not want to lose Soldo!

Damn that's a great outcome. Especially when you would think those late picks move up the order given all the father/son and academy bidding that's going to happen.

Now to figure out how far 53 and 63 are likely to come in. Assuming that we don't do anything to trade up in the draft.

Suggests that at least Martyn and probably RCD (or Stack) will be delisted (potentially re-rookied) as we will need to clear them to have enough spots to take these 2 extra draftees.

Soldo’s value rose massively with the 5 man bench. If Soldo went there would have been a lot more coming back our way.

Perfect perfect perfect

Time to look up odds for Richmond 2023 premiers + Lynch Coleman medal + Taranto Brownlow :p

Excellent deal.

Getting Tarranto and Hopper addresses our needs now, and we can continue to plan for future needs as both of them have at least 5 years they should be good players.

The picks coming back are no issue to GWS given the number of picks they already have so thanks for the sweetener from GWS, costs them nothing effectively.

Very happy to keep Soldo, hoping he can do well this year and if the bench goes to 5 then he will be playing.

Worth stepping back and admiring that the club has had the foresight and put in the work to attract two highly capable midfielders to the club in one off-season.

Outstanding.
