Welcome to the Tigers - Daniel Rioli

I was at the other end of the ground but that last marking contest against a VFL player in Durham.........

Geez Danny. That did not look good at all.
Made a blew taking that extra bounce too, other than that he had another good game.

Way off the boil. Decision making has been horrible and lack of physicality is glaring. And must lower the eyes, far too many times just looking for the glory kick. Back to basics, more defensive pressure inside 50 and helping the backline.

I call BS!! IMO, Rioli did his ankle early in the 2nd qtr on the Shane Warne boundary wing near me took a while to get up and limping badly, shortly after he grits his teeth and goes for that dash and nearly inspirational goal went to ground took ages to get up and when he did limping badly. I bet 100% he was jabbed at half time.
Were you at the game?

Played out of position.

Yeh that's just madness bagging Rioli. He's one of the real shining lights of our side. Might be slightly off with his kicking but I know who i'd rather with the ball out of Rioli and scoop's lovechild Short.

Rioli got hurt by the push after his shot from Willi Rioli.

Rioli stuffed his ankle minutes earlier than the incident you referred to by another shove long after he got rid of the ball on the boundary line.

Given the 2 free's Port got for pushes after disposal why didn't we get one for the blatant late/in the back on Dan ? Consistent interpretation was not a strength of the men in control yesterday.

And I was wondering where the down field free went with that one.....umpire?

Correct, I sit just above there in the Shane Warne stand too. Was calling for the downfield. We should have been having a shot from 25m out. He was struggling for a while there. I agree with you, I reckon 100% he was jabbed at half time.

Rioli had both hands in the air while on the ground looking at the umpire thinking exactly the same thing.
It was so long after the ball had left his hands. Couldn’t believe it wasn’t a free to us in the goal square.
Totally unnecessary and a bit hard to believe it came from a cousin brother.

I suspect he's playing sore, but is still ever reliable, plays his 150th against the Dockers:clap2

Surprised there wasn't more comment about Dan. Wasn't a highlight reel of a match, but I thought he was very solid and was instrumental it setting up our attacks.

AA Season IMHO.

He levelled up.
And we levelled up our expectations.

Tasked to work through the squeeze to break the game open. Bad guy bosses know to clamp down on him first.

Playing sore / injured, given a hard tag most games and makes mistakes / gets beat occassionally like all humans.
If he doesnt have an allstar game we complain. He's had a steller season so far.
