Really ordinary early. Got better. Has a knack of getting on his own when we're surging wide- could have cut into him more than once on his own across half forward but they kept missing him. I noticed though that he wasn't screaming and demanding the ball. Needs more confidence. Personally I still think he could be a 200 gamer. Don't shoot me down.... :)

That's exactly.

Reckon the bye week may have come at the perfect time for a few youngsters like Mendoo. They get the little break, ease a few physical niggles n refresh, relax the thought processes.
Happy for our youngsters Mendoo, Geezer, George, Daniel, Shai, Shorty to keep getting games this year. Most of the times it's little pockets n flashes of ability hidden among a lot of trying for no result but the results will become much more frequent as they develop n settle into the games.

I'm loving that these young players are getting the chance to develop in the seniors. Leaders are really standing up and showing the way. Just as it should be.

A club can only progress when your young players collectively show improvement and Moneydue is definitely adding to the growing list of youngsters who have come on with the new coaching regime.
He actually won some crucial one on ones and I think even a two on one at one stage. This will do wonders for his confidence. Once you believe, you've jumped a major hurdle.

Woeful game today. He's lucky Lloyd played or he would have been clearly worst on ground. Poor decisions, poor skill level. Showed a lack of intensity and desire for the contest.

Really disappointing. Should be dropped on that performance.

I agree unfortunately.

Im all for giving young blokes slack, but i have no tolerance for lack of intensity.

How did he not get a free kick for that chase down tackle in the middle of the ground in the last?

and the grab 20 out straight in front.

for the first 3 quarters yes, but was good in the last Q. One of few who kept running, great chase down tackle thats wasn't paid for reasons only known to the ump, ditto the contested mark he took in a pack of swans 30 metres out directly in front.

that was as bad a decision as you'll ever see.

Agree on the tackle. Can't for the life of me see how it wasn't a free kick. The peanut umpire said the Swans player handballed it. He was behind the players so how could he even tell them. And he didn't handball it anyway.

Disagree on the mark. I thought there were too many hands on it to pay it.

Big step backward. Some of his efforts were woeful.

Yep. You can excuse mistakes made by young players having a crack. You should never excuse lack of intensity and effort at this level.

A bit shocked how poor he was. Bit of an overstatement but borderline cost us the game.

Posted in another thread that when he and Lloyd were on the ground the Swans had 20 players.
